sounds like the Astra Zeneca deal. it's a good one
Make it like cafepharma, but for different industries: over the years we’ve had suggestions for creating a site similar to cafepharma, but for different industries. Now there is a place. Check out CompanyUnderground for company forums in other industries. Don’t see a company? Request it here. Let your friends and family outside the pharma/medical sales space know they now have a safe, anonymous place to talk.

Well actually, Baxter is hiring for their cardiovascular division for Brevibloc, also Neurogesx (awesome new biotech company) for their pain patch - Here is the recruiter for NeuroGesx. Mary is really nice and got me a face to face interview. Good luck because this is one great opportunity! (480) 361-2599

And the other poster is correct - Astra Zeneca is hiring accross the US - big pharma, but they are true specialty positions and the pay is good. One division is calling on Pychs, and they are wonderful to call on.
Hope this helps!

I totally agree. Reminds me of another product I was going to see in the antibiotic market and the manufacturing plant couldn't replicate a consistent product. Similiar to this report, they took maybe 5 samples and all 5 were different. The fact some had an oxygen issue and foreign material was in another signals that there are potential liability concerns. There were more issues that were cited as well. I can't imagine getting everything fixed so quickly. Even if that were to happen, there will be tons of interaction with Bacter and FDA and FDA and Cadence. Without Question, this will be minimally a fall launch. But, as with anything, they probably won't see an approved product until 1st or 2nd quarter of 2011.
Tis happened wit another company called Discover Labs. They gave contigent offers and all the reps were onboard and approval seemed right around the corner. Then, they had issues and the contigent offers were no longer valid and after a gap of time, they went with another recruiting service and started to look for a sales force again, only to finally run out of money and never get a product out.
The product for Cadence will eventually come out, but if they run into more delays, it will more than likely be launched by a large big pharma company. It would be wise to keep interviewing and finding other opportunities. If Cadence doesn't understand why someone would have to do that in order to protect themselves, then you already have your answer. Why would you want to work for someone that would have that kind of attitude? In this economy, you need to watch out for number one - yourself.
WOW - thank you for sharing this. I can't believe all the issues...including foreign matter in the vial-yikes! Honestly, if you read this, They will be lucky if this can get resolved within 2010. I bet it will take 2011. Nobody better be counting on this, unless they already have a stable job they are happy with.
you are a complete dip shit!! keep you fucking advice to yourself
Let me start by saying that I am an investor who happens to work in specialty manufacturing. These citations occur on a daily basis across the USA and none of these citations are not fixable. If you look at the stock price - it has not fallen at all since this data has become public. Therefore - investors who specialize in pharmaceutical companies - believe this is something that can be fixed in the short order. If not - they would have sold the shares quickly.

Hey everyone, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out when some of the postings on this thread include swear words and other nasty language, that they are either psotings from management already onboard at Cadence or someone that is upset because they counted on this job. There is no reason to be nasty - everyone is just giving their opinions.
It is obvious that management is scrambling to keep everyone onboard and they have a huge fear of losing everyone. Here is a fact that many of you may not know. Do you realize that the current managers are being paid currently on retention? This is a fact and you can certainly ask the person that would be your manager. They have nothing else to do and that is what they are paid on. Everyone internally is fearful that all the candidates will now take other opportunities, which is going to happen. No one can wait forever. If you are a top candidate, then it would be foolish for you to at least check the market out. If someone is going to knock you for looking or leave messages with nasty language, you know they feel threatened. I agree with the other poster - do what is right for you. If the job opens up in the next several months, that will be great, but protect yourself by continuing to look. We all know that deep down there is no loyalty anymore. You need to watch out for yourself. If you think this drug will be approved in March - forget it! If you think it will be approved in APril - forget it! May - Highly unlikely. I agree with the others that even if the issues are resolved in the next 6 weeks, there will be several meetings afterwards and the FDA will be very weary of saying yes right away until they are absolutely sure because of potential liability. The details at the manufacturing plant should have been heavily scrutinized by both Cadence and Baxter months and months ago to ensure the highest level of quality, safety, and manufacturing. It shouldn't have taken the FDA to find all these mistakes - some of which are pretty serious. If you can manufature a consist drug product time after time, this is a BIG problem. In the next couple of weeks, everyone will be getting the warm and fuzzy calls to make sure that no one walks away. There will be more than 50% that will walk away - the rest just simply wont be able to find a comparable job any sooner.

ok we get it. You are going to start looking for another job, it is going to take millions and millions of years to get approved, cadence is EVIL. Thank you now go away
Do you think one person is the only one that thinks this way?! I appreciate the comments because I eant to hear how others feel. I have decided to look elsewhere too. So stop being a jerk....if you don't like what you hear than stay off the thread
