Cadence will be hiring soon

this cracks me up....

"I'm telling!!!!....wait till I tell...my boss, wait till I tell Randy....my boss is going to be pissed.."..sounds like a room full of pre-schoolers. Let me know how the battle is coming along (if you are still employed by Cadence) in 3-5 months (tops). Good luck selling beyond the scope of your data and indication. Scios was really good at that trick. Just ask JSB or the author of Nesiritide not Verified. Slippery Slope you are about to slide right down on...buckle up kiddos..the school bus is here to pick you all up.

Oh no! Did you say "Scios" ? Good at a "trick"?

OH...you're soooooooo Green with envy. You are a laugh. Go back to your big pharma job...if anyone needs to "buckle up" it will be you on the next layoff. bye bye baby

Boy you need to get your chip off your shoulder regarding Scios. You are jealous and you know it.

The Scois reps in my area are not respected and did not have access. Only a Scios rep would think someone is jealous of them. (you are an idiot, you will not last) Maybe you could ask Cadence to give you an area where nobody knows you came from Scois!

No, you seem pretty jealous. And yes, you are the idiot. I have always been in the top 10% every year and have no intention of that changing. All the Scios reps that I know have been incredibly successful. If you didn't care then you wouldn't comment - it is that simple. Also, why the hell are you on this thread - I am sure you didn't get an offer and instead of moving forward, you are spending time on this thread - you aren't exactly moving on. Who even knows if this drug will get approved - that is not a definite, but the Scios reps I know have been true performers and have worked their asses off. What happened with the Scios drug was out of the reps control and they were just doing their jobs. Now, please grow up and stop acting like a baby.

Have a drink! "Go Scios" Go Team Go! If you can't do it know one can... IDIOT

Awwww don't talk that way about yourself. Yes, you are an idiot, but you don't need to remind yourself everyday. Maybe someday someone will hire you...I think pharmaceutical sales is way out of your league though. Try McDonalds

I don't think it was completely out to anyones control. I believe you have a few at cadence who well be taken time off to give their story to a judge. Who knows? Are you that one guy, you sure are HOT and out of control!

I am so shocked that someone posted this. It amazes me the lack of professionalism some people have. You will be found out, I am certain of that. Don't be foolish to think that management doesn't view these threads.

$132K base, $3K sign-on, negotiated vacation package (4 weeks + 4 floaters), I got my car already picked out for the $600/month lease option and I am ready to roll in less than 2 2weeks. I am on vacation now with my current company, getting ready for pay-day. Whooo hoooo

That didn't come from a Scios rep. You are the same person that keeps bashing Scios reps. We all know you are a disgruntled Scios employee - now stop because you have made your valueless point

I can proudly say I have NEVER worked for Scios and the jury is still out, (no pun intended)for working here- aka. Cadence. (My eye is on xScios idiots- will they promote off label, etc. )

For the professionals:

Cadence offered 20k base (not counting car allowance) more than my current base at 10yr company. Cadence bonus projection is twice current company. This is fantastic! Curious how any of you might be comparing the lack of 401k match, no pension, and after allowance car expense.....?????

My 2 cents on product research has been positive! I have not made a big jump in my 15 total year career, and this certainly seems to be a great opportunity for many reasons including the raise, but to also catch up. We all know you have to jump at least two times to stay at the top of the pay scale. For me, this gets me up the pay ladder, but I leave behind the above mentioned plans.

As for the culture, I am impressed. Open communication, quick responses to questions, and lots of excitement towards a big future in the hospital setting with an unmet need! I get the impression leaders at Cadence will improve where/when they can across the board when revenue starts coming in. Afterall, it is a start up. I am very excited about Cadence, but am aware of the missing long term benefits too.

Appreciate viewpoints on topic. Thanks.

Man I wish you weren't coming onboard - you sound like a first class jerk and moron and have no idea what you are talking about. Better quit bashing Scos consider many upper management came from there. You are stupid...yes you are stupid

Thanks for the post. You received quite a jump on your base, which isn't typical. It almost sounds as if you were with big pharma and they never took care of you in terms of raises. Many of us are concerned about the things you have mentioned like the lack of 401k match. The car allowance in all due respect is one of the poorest I have ever seen in the industry. They would have been much better off iving a bit less on bases and giving company cars. All of the things you have mentioned add up and they are a great concern. There are quite a lot of people out there in "wait and see" mode. Some people have already backed out and even if Cadence gets approval, there will still be others that pull out as well. It is a mistake to assume the drug will be approved this time around. After reviewing the data. the FDA may decide they need more time. I am not stating this to be a trouble maker, it is just a fact. They were delayed in November because the FDA needed more time to review the data. Once the data is reviewed, they could easily say they would like to see more. Upper management received stock options and many feel part of those options should have gone to the reps. They cite it isn't a risk to come onboard once the drug is approved, but on the contrary it is. We have no idea how the medical community will respond.

Upper managment gets stock options, yet no options to sales force = red flag. This sounds like a recipe for approval followed by a sell to big pharma.

You are so right. There is no sales force attached to the European product and clearly this will be a one or two year gig tops. They would need a sales force to lauch the product and then it will be sold to big pharma - and usually that means bye bye sales force. I also agree that it may not get approved this time around.
