That's not true. There will be arount 10% cuts in Munich. If they fire 200 then the only one who will be left is the cleaning lady and the building owner. The entire TPV has around 300 employees and thats worldwide.
I am so excited, its kick-arse time for B+L Europe (France and Germany). Finally, the purges have reached all these overrated, overpaid, ineffective, inexperienced, arrogant and lazy hang around people. Great times are ahead! Mike, keep wielding that fat cutting knife! I love you!

Seriously: what is your problem? Your comment adds absolutely no value whatsoever to this thread. In fact: I feel sorry for you. Given the fact that you seem so eager to lash out at your colleagues like that, you must be struggling with some serious psychological and/or social issues. Get well soon.
Take it easy there cowboy, enough with the racial slurs already.....
You're making an embarrassment of yourself, and doing nothing other then showing that you're jealous of how the WF plant people have dodged the bullets.
The Irish you're trying to take the piss out of are the very ones that have escaped the chop so far and probably will going forward due to their 12.5% corporate tax rate.
If WF is sold so will the Rochester lens manufacturing plant probably to J&J or some such, if Valeant are such fuckers to work for then maybe these lens manufacturing people are getting a lucky escape and have a way out, something most of the rest of us dont have and will be stuck with MP as our CEO and all the shit that goes with it.[/QUOT

Toulouse R&D is gone.
UK 100 people gone.
Zug gone.
Total Europe close to 450 people gone per work council schedule this year alone, more to come.
Everything to be folded into regional Valeant model.
Europe now you are back to dark ages.
By the way please focus on Valeant's vicious need to go to Poland and former Eastern bloc for manufacturing. Watch out Berlin, Aubenas, Montpelier, Milan - you all are moving.
YOU do your homework you twat, Valeant has doubled in size since the B&L aquisition, do you honestly think they can put through adequate amounts of finance from such a large business through such a small shell comapny as the one in Citywest without drawing unwanted attention. Idiot...
To summarise the above thread, the lay-offs are as follows. Can anyone provide more details?
Switzerland, Zug – 35
Germany, Berlin – 67
Germany, Munich – 30
UK, Kingston – 110
France, Montpellier – 97
France, Toulouse – HOW MANY???
France, Aubenas –
Italy, Milan –
Netherlands –
Ireland, Waterford – 200
You have no idea. Not only can they run Waterford profits through the little office in Citywest, they will also run Rochester profits, it's legal. The flights that used to land in Shannon for "extraordinary rendition" of suspects will now land with extraordinary amounts of Rochester cash. For this to continue both Waterford and Rochester will continue to manufacture, Ned Flanders will continue to "lead" Waterford and Rochester manufacturing in an unholy, unstructured mess, surrounded by his acolytes, great times ahead, just hope they pay decent redundancy. Life moves on, I have seen the future already, it ain't pleasant and the return of the amazons is already underway, get out before they fuck you proper.
I never said anything about solely putting WF and Rochester plants profits through citywest, they can now put finance from some of their other entities through the WF plant aswell as the shell in city west, Valeant is now too big to put all through citywest but using both WF and Citywest, nice amounts of cash can be put through at the 12.5% corporate taxation rate thus avoiding the higher taxation rates in the original country of origin.
