Bioventus Turnover - Executive Leadership

Hey, anyone know where exogen units are really made? Let's contact them, buy them ourselves and sell them. Exogen , long off patent, who needs the company, lets do it ourselves.

My understanding is the components are made in different places and assembled in Memphis. Probably mostly in China - circuit boards in US. If you were able to assemble them wouldn’t you have to go through a separate FDA process?

Folks, I'm not joking. Former BV rep here, working to secure 5M of funding to produce a new ultrasound device. Stay tuned, I promise, BV will not be the only LIPUS option in the near future.

Exogen isn’t the only LIPUS device already. There are plenty of others available outside the US. Just ask the people in Europe (Osteotron), Canada (Melmak), and Japan (Accellus Mini).

The barrier is FDA approval, distribution and logistics. You are going to need more than $5 million for a clinical study, to build a distribution and sales network, and to create IR and market access teams.

Without a clinical study, you won’t get approved. Without distribution and sales, no one will know you exist. And, without IR and market access, you won’t get paid.

You could easily sell of LIPUS studies and PMA. That's what DJO did and many estims piggyback off of the studies from EBI. Someone could easily do that with LIPUS.

As it's off patent, one need only provide the signal from the transducer, have a signal field the same or larger in size and show its operation is the same. There are other requirements, but the hoops needed to jump through are not daunting. As for sales force, that would likely solve itself. Too many former and current exogen reps ready to stick it to BV. Regarding access, don't you think Medicare would like to know about a 20min/day LIPUS unit that they would only have to pay, oh , $2500. BV is too slow, too unresponsive to market changes and most of its science is off label. Market is ripe for takeover.
I for one am eager to move to a new LIPUS device. Just means more money for me. I stopped bleeding BV colors when they stopped caring.

Great new side gig in the meantime. pemf devices for soft tissue injuries. Several products out there, but promedtek looks to bethel strongest player and they use 1099 reps. Call on your dpms, and orthos.

JN is overrated. DOS's and reps think he is sone mastermind. If he was, he wouldn't be at Biohazard. JN brings his own team, like a circus coming to town, to help with his agenda.

Let's see what they have done so far.
Durolane - not one insurance win.
Gelsyn - sales continue to drop. Blame it on rep attitude, not market strategy. Reps encouraged to sell on spread.
Comp plan - so bad they had to revamp it within a week. Then JN tries to spin 3 plans based on the original crap plan and have reps vote on the one they like. JN spins this as rep input and if you don't vote for them you have no reason to complain. BS! Real rep input would be to scrap original plan for one that motivates.
Turnover - continues to increase.
Exogen - with only DV knowing and leaving the rest of marketing out of the loop, JN initiates plan to charge for Exogen gel, software reset and more. Within weeks, plan scrapped because of field uproar.

He is good at promoting himself and lackeys to sinking ship companies, who would not be able to find jobs without him.

I see one of the most tenured reps in company left this month in North region I believe (TC). I did not know him too well but had a couple positive interactions with him in break outs at meetings. One of my team members down here knew him well and said he was a great rep over the years (many awards etc) and pretty solid guy. Not sure why or where he went but a tough loss I have to be believe for that team. Sad.

Reps name is Todd C. Great dude. New comp plan hurt him financially. KH refused to do anything to keep Todd. Todd is 7th rep to leave in last year from his region. His DOS is clueless, self-centered and a KH tool.
