WEEKLY WORLD NEWS

ST. LOUIS, MO – President Obama threw out the first pitch at the 2009 All-Star Game. But a certain little mutant made off with the ball!

President Barack Obama arrived in St. Louis early yesterday afternoon. Wanting to leave a good impression he made time to visit the stadium to practice pitching before the eyes of the world were on him at the start of the game.

America’s favorite mutant, Bat Boy, was on hand while the President prepared to give his pitch. When he arrived and how he got past security remains unclear. The two started by playing catch, both taking in the joy of being on a professional field. Then Bat Boy stood by encouraging President Obama as he practiced pitching from the mound. It is believed that Obama was checking in with him on current mutant issues, particularly the mutant controversy surrounding Sonia Sotomayor. After the warm up Bat Boy joined the President for a lunch of burgers and fries.

President Obama opened the All-Star game last night by delivering the first pitch. He wore a jacket of his beloved Chicago White Sox. After his pitch he joined Fox News commentators in the booth to call the game.

The ball the president threw out has since gone missing. No one is sure exactly what happened to it, but security cameras caught a brief picture afterwards of Bat Boy leaving the stadium with a baseball in hand.

No official charges are expected to be filed for the theft of the ball. If they are, the President says he will grant a full pardon and pay for the price of the ball. Bat Boy’s current whereabouts are unknown.

Here we come, walkin'
Down the street.
We get the funniest looks from
Ev'ry one we meet.
Hey, hey, we're the Monkees
And people say we monkey around.
But we're too busy singing
To put anybody down.

We go wherever we want to,
do what we like to do
We don't have time to get restless,
There's always something new.
Hey, hey, we're the Monkees
And people say we monkey around.
But we're too busy singing
To put anybody down.

We're just tryin' to be friendly,
Come and watch us sing and play,
We're the young gneration,
And we've got something to say.

Any time, Or anywhere,
Just look over your shoulder
Guess who'll be standing there

Hey, hey, we're the Monkees
And people say we monkey around.
But we're too busy singing
To put anybody down.

Fiddle Faddle, but both Cracker Jack and Fiddle Faddle need to stay out of my house. I will eat a whole box in one day if they are in front of me. "Get in my belly"!!!!!

C'mon guys (ie, in-house management) - quit diluting the posts with nonsense to distract the thread. The issues at this company are real and as people lose jobs, this sort of thing will only make more enemies. Shortly, someone's going to start posting contract pricing and large account info as an equal distraction.........

Hey guys Biomet will get theirs....the birds always come home to roost

Any rumors of a shake up in upper management?

If management is as incompetent as these posts would indicate, how did they get their jobs?

How did the president get his position?

WOW!!! What happened to free speech? Several entries have been deleted from this site, and why? Because they spoke the truth? This company is so fake. Would you like to know why? Well, lets begin our story with their "Impact a Life". How many ways has Biomet impacted their employees lives...

1. They expect everyone to be a "brown nose" and if your nose is not brown enough, they fire you.
2. If you work really hard and actually care about the work you are producing, they fire you. 3. If you bring up regulatory compliance issues, paperwork issues, lack of training issues, FDA and BSI issues, they fire you.
4. They give dates of termination to over 75+ employees all while spending obscene amounts of money on elaborate employee functions and out of town trips.
5. Need I really go on????????

This company was once a real impressive shop with a skilled manufacturing workshop. Unfortunately, they promoted the wrong folks and fired all the right ones. I know from all of the previous posts that some will say "If they have been fired it must have been from good reason" NOT TRUE!!!!! They simply eliminated people whom they viewed as threats, and those threats simply did there job and cared about doing it. While I worked there I witnessed improper chemical handling, the passing off of paperwork on deviated product, the undereducated management staff scramble every time a presentation was due to be delivered. I hope all potential patients, customers and Doctors have the will to read the comments on this company! Some may be childish but they are so very true!

This message board is a true testament to this company and the way it runs. As you start to read the comments posted ,the drama is not that bad. Continue on and more of the companies downfalls are laid out in more detail. Then you get a bunch of rubbish that consists of nothing but senseless tactics to take away from real legitimate issues of the company. This company will tell you all day long that its employees matter. Fact is the amount of money they can make with the least amount of employees is there only concern. The company tried to improve their manufacturing process using the LEAN Manufacturing system. A detailed, step-by-step program designed to eliminate waste in the company. Only problem is they were not competent enough to do the steps correctly. As they started training groups of individuals, some of those groups progressed while others became ineligible to continue the program. When the ineligible and just plain left out asked "Why" no reason could be given except that money was not available. REALLY????? Could it be because they spend extra funds on supplies things they do not need? Most of the items requested for purchase had just been trashed a week prior by another department. Hello... use the improperly stored spray paint and save some money!! * Advice given free of charge * BTW there is NO way can this company EVER be considered for a recycling award, they have a major issue with properly disposing of ANYTHING. They don't care if they are getting rid of paper, oil, or personnel, they just want it gone. They begin tasks that never finish, they start to train someone and never finish, they begin anything and never finish! Have you started to notice the "never finish" trend? They follow the same trend with their manufacturing process. Only difference is those pieces are finished all right, but they are not up to the "quality" they say they strive to maintain. Do your homework before doing business with this company. Look at how many recalls, mixed product, wrongly labeled, defected, and broken pieces they have allowed into the field. Possibly into you! Look at the amount of turnover's and soon to be laid off employees they have. For all who read this be very careful when it comes to this company. They are dirty, devious, and definitely no longer a respectable company! Poor Walter Lorenz, he started this company from the back of his car. How many times do you think he turns in his grave over the turbulence that now consumes his once happy workforce?

I just want to say that my biggest beef with the BM company is the human resource director which I now understand has been demoted for some reason or another. You can't get answers when you need them because if she doesn't like you she want give you the time of day. She has her pets picked and the hell with the rest of us.You can't be a real human resource director and pick your pets toooo!!!! Oh well, we will be out of there soon.

Does anyone have any info on their Sternalock internal fixation device?

The SternaLock® System from Biomet Microfixation, applies the proven principles of Locking Rigid Fixation to sternal closure, resulting in an optimal closure method for those patients who are at risk for sternal wound infections.

Every year, over 1 million people worldwide undergo open-heart surgery in the fight against cardiovascular disease. American Heart Association reports that each year in the United States, over 700,000 open-heart surgeries are performed requiring mid-line sternotomies. Studies have shown that thousands of these patients will develop mediastinitis or other deep sternal-wound infections. These complications present multiple disadvantages to both the patient and the hospital, including significantly increasing patient mortality rates.
