Biohaven Reps

You don't really believe the "minimal impact" BS they were selling this morning, do you? If so, you must be new here. ELT will lie to your face then gut the sales force. Dec 22 is the most inconsiderate date yet for layoffs.

It didn’t say no impact, it said minimal impact. Of course there’s a risk that there will be downsizing. There’s no guarantee. But I am tired of everyone constantly fanning the fire and causing panic when things are being done to try to mitigate that, such as explaining the potential impact act to the sales organization. And yes, to a degree I do believe it in regards to where revenue is being generated. I’m not drinking Koop aide, I’m thinking through it logically. More than ever this company needs divisions which are driving revenue to perform. If you’re in a revenue driving division, I’d expect there to be less impact than others. Also, almost all pharma companies do layoffs in December. Is it awful? Yes. But it’s not personal, it’s business to have the revenue affected in the current fiscal year as opposed to the next year. That’s why it’s done. You don’t need to like it or agree with it, but this is an industry you chose to work in so it’s best to get used to it because it’s not going to get better. Many many of us have been through downsizing multiple times throughout our careers, almost all of mine have taken place near the holidays, with onto one exception. Pfizer made poor business decisions with COVD. Being angry with ELT is more than justified, I’m very angry with how they missed the mark so egregiously and now this poor leadership will affect thousands. But sometimes it’s more than apparent that most of you all don’t think through their decisions making process logically or practically. That’s all.

Cool bud, I hope Pfizer sends you a nice edible arrangement for Christmas for that wonderful justification. Bravo.

Thanks for stating the obvious. However, logical normal or justified this is, having that long of a runway for employees to live in a land of unknown is egregious. It’s either a calculated measure for people to leave on their own so they can accrue the cost savings without paying severance or they don’t have their shit together enough to give details. Either way, having this amount of colleagues live in ambiguity for this length of time is total BS. I’ve been through a million layoffs in this industry and never once has any company treated the CFClike they are adults. They will dangle a motivating carrot to work you until the end of when they no longer need you, without regard for being transparent in any part of the process. This company takes the cake for poor deliver, lack of awareness and lack of basically all the skills necessary to successfully motivate employees to want to do more than they did yesterday.

Do you know how to read? It said BY Dec.22. Most will likely know long beforehand.

do you know how to read? We were on two conference calls that said the exact same thing twice, Except for by Dec 22. It still doesn’t change the fact that we are living in the land of the unknown until whenever that magical date they decide to share info.

This is the standard operating procedure for lay offs at Pfizer.

So, just want to ask since the day is over… who was right?!! Oh, yes…crickets.

I would’ve thought before now so they can take the charge in the fourth quarter of this year but they must have enough losses in their back pocket that they don’t need to. So they’re probably going to hold off and wait till maybe after Christmas this time, perhaps January 9th.

I think they are moving as quickly as they can, the Dec 22 date is so people can spend the holidays with their families if they are let go. They are doing it to be thoughtful of people and their families.

Thanks for the perspective John...
