Biohaven Pharmaceuticals

"know it all asshole" . Can't believe someone wrote that . You are the cancer in this inhumane society we live in today. It's called being KIND and actually answering a question and helping someone who didn't know how to do something and not answering just to be degrading and an over-all jerk.
I agree with you, at least a kind person did share the information later. There will always be some jerk, but at least the rest of us can help each other.

You couldn't be anymore accurate. The salaries are terrible and the stupid hiring managers keep hiring diabtetes reps because no seasoned neuro rep would ever consider going there for such a low base. Good luck growing with your inadequate diabetes sales people, shit salaries and drugs and not quite as good as a Triptan.
Sheesh...do your research (all of you)..I'm basing at 110 and triptans aren't for everybody; like 4 million patients..BIg Pharma isn't offering me that base.. you malcontents go bye bye and get outta here, many of us are quite happy. Top bad you are not; I'm sure your dream job is out there someplace.

Ha! This must be from a unqualified DM. This company is a joke. Anyone who accepts 85k salary for a drug that’s doesn’t even get approved until April is a complete reject. Wait until you see you medical benefits. Complete joke.

Lol...85k if you couldn’t negotiate ;) but you seem happy with your current situation if you’re on cp running that mouth. I bet your significant other is having an affair.

I am in a medium sized city where they plan on having more than 1 manager and at least 12 reps.

Access here is terrible, and all the big companies all have 1 or 2 reps and a manager who covers the whole state.

I am nervous because this territory is small and no one sees reps or allows samples for the most part

Why did they hire such a big sales force?

The company must have some sense that access is very limited most places especially in primary care . The leadership folks I have met appear to be very smart experienced people. Although most places will be lunch only that is better than absolutely zero exposure. Drive around all day schedule lunches, make friends with the receptionist/gatekeeper and any accessible clinical staff. Our roles are not easy by any means but is certainly possible to make an impact with consistency and persistence. After 1 year they will probably cut the salesforce in half based off sales results.

They were very reluctant in interviews to discuss any type of strategy regarding this. I found out later that there were 2 DM's in a city with virtually no access.

This company is well prepared and has some very experienced managers that have already managed in these territories previously. Some access is better than zero access. They will assess outcomes in a year a adjust where necessary.

Let me ask you, how did you land the position?
I have called on these physicians in this therapeutic area on the recent past,
I have great sales numbers/awards and great letters of reference.
Why am I being given no consideration for the local opening?
