Good luck to everyone this year at DNA but start planning your exit strategy. Koolaid is down to the last drops.
To all you arrogant Genentech oncology folks.....you’re finally getting what you deserve. I came from Roche (the company that bought you!) and have never seen such arrogance in a sales team. I mean come on, you’re selling drugs that a monkey in a suit could sell. There are so many of you trying to see the same customers that you are lucky to make a few legitimate sales calls in a given month. The Genentech leadership and especially oncology showed their ultimate arrogance by modifying the distribution model and really pissing the centers off. Do you really believe they are going to be loyal to a company that would never contract with them and took millions of dollars out of their pockets?!? These centers are counting the days until biosimilars hit the market and they can use anything except a Genentech product. There is little sympathy for a sales force who thought they were God’s gift. Newsflash....the products would have performed without you! And now, the franchise will sink with or without you. Enjoy your sabbaticals and your severance while I enjoy my Roche pension and my peaceful life away from the Genentech fake culture.
I’m from Roche, the company that BOUGHT Genentech! The Roche folks were treated quite poorly during the acquisition. Many have left, many were forced out, and many we never given a chance because of the bitterness of the Genentech legacy folks. That’s why it is so awesome to watch the shit start to hit the fan. The oncology franchise is the most arrogant group of people I’ve ever witnessed. Come on folks, you’re promoting products that a monkey in a suit could sell! There were so many of you tying to see the same customer that you were lucky to make a couple of real sales call in a month. Genentech isn’t a sales company, I t’s a marketing company. Look at the volumes of folks in SSF who measure their performance by the number of meetings they have in a day. I’ve been waiting for the day that the oncology franchise comes crashing down. You really showed the arrogance when T. “Suck” C. changed the distribution model. Genentech has never contracted with a customer because they didn’t need to. Do you honestly believe there is any loyalty to Genentech?!?! Quite the opposite....these customers have been chomping at the bit for biosimilars to hit the market so they can stick it to Gene. The fake culture is starting to catch up with you cocky assholes. The only thing better will be when the most arrogant franchise of all, Lytics, is sent packing because they too think they are God’s gift.
Spot on post. Selling at DNA was like working for IBM at their prime. Reps did not sell!!! At best they were order takers and ass kissers. Other agendas did follow...
Eliminate GATCF! If they don’t know how many people they need then they are part of the problem and not the solution. Gut all management and senior Foundation Specialist. In fact, all of the department.
Fully agree and believe that Genentech is in a death spiral. Don’t forget the debacle with Lucentis and the letter to retina Specialists about avastin, there are those who never forget that screw up.

I came in from the outside company...both Roche and Genentech are arrogant, make stupid business decisions and can’t compete to save their lives. Both companies are going to be cut in half with the next 12 months.. but honesty I spoken to a lot of companies in 2018 they are unfortunately just as arrogant.
By year end the job market will be flooded with hundreds of unemployed Genentech and Celgene reps.

Treated like crap? Come on, its all perception. You probably believed you were more qualified then you were and had a sense of entitlement. Tell me otherwise and let the board decide. Just the fact that you're wishing bad omen on people, shows you hold grudges and have a horrible personality and character. Maybe thats why you were ignored? Maybe people saw you for what you were and treated you accordingly? Just saying sometimes you have to have self awareness to improve as a person, many people lack this trait.
Correction: Many employees in Genentech lack awareness to improve. It’s true they are arrogant. I’m sure it also is a trait in Roche, as well. But more so with Genentech. If I hear anyone from Genentech say they work there. I’m going to spit on their face. And it’s a social justice soy boy or soy girl that Genentech produces from their phony culture.
