BDSI - addiction contract

Our biggest problem is the patients don't like the product. If they're taking it, they want subs, if they want to sell it or abuse it, they want generic.

They're all diverting it. This whole bupe concept is a fucking JOKE. They want whatever has the highest street value in the circle of people their selling it to. The reason nobody wants Bunavail is because it is not yet well known enough to have much street value.
 


















I wonder if that is why Gavin left? He seemed like a nice guy. Where did he go? Can he take us with him? Anybody know where he went? I only met him a couple times but seemed WAY more sincere than David. It seems like the expectations on our most recent conference call are not reasonable and the management team seems out of touch.
 
























WOW - WTF is going on here?

1. Outrageous goals - really - not what we discussed at POA. A doubling of what I did in Q1 - what is my motivation to work?
2. BS Letter sent out today in regard to our Q1 payout. Hey - good news is that you will get paid - we just cant tell you when.

OK - you ask us to recommit to the launch of Bunavail at our sales meeting - fair enough. I do like our job and product

You talk about transparancy.

You talk about 'Trust - but Verify' - Really - then where is the trust??

You tell us we will have a Q1 Rank report - well where is it??

You tell us there is a pharmacy stocking initiative - well - it is now mid May - where is it??

You want my business plan ASAP.

So - my question to you DA is this. You overpromise, you underdeliver, you give me outrageous goals, you dont know when you will pay me my bonus, you hold us to high accountability, you ask us to recommit to the launch - but yet you cant hold your end of the bargain! So why should I work my ass off for nothing????
 






He is a tool and everyone knows that he only cares about himself. What a joke....the missing bonus is ridiculous and to tell people the day before the payout a mere 10 hours before the payout hits your account. I mean they didn't know until then? I don't buy for a second that Quintiles is responsible for the "late" bonus date, especially when that date is not known. Has anyone ever seen anything like this? Are they short on cash? It's getting bad here.

You seem like an ethical person and truly care about making your company a success. Here are a couple of critical success factors that need to be implemented immediately if you want to see sales turn around.

1) Actions speak louder than words; pick up the phone and get checks cut this week and pay your sales force for the bonuses they have already earned. Nobody believes the B.S. that D.A. tried to spoon feed us at the meeting and on the phone about Quintiles being the issue. We fell for that one once. Do you really think folks are excited about striving for goals that are lofty at best, when they haven't got paid for past performance?

2) Show us how the metrics of goal setting was achieved for our territory. Too subjective & ambiguous at best. What we were told, again by D.A. was not reality. How can a territory like Tennessee with a total class volume 3 times the volume have a lower goal than a territory with a third of that volume with limited MC coverage?
3) Quit having D.A. try to run everything and let our R.D.'s do their job
4) Implement an Advisory Board (representatives only) that you & Al listen to on a monthly call and hear directly from us what we need in the field. We have tried, but to no avail (Ha!)
5) A sales force that doesn't trust its upper management to do what is right by the sales force, does so at their own peril and is destined to see lackluster results, no matter how many business plans, targeting, PIP's, etc.. you implement, because at the end of the day it is the sales force that pays the bills, drives share and keeps the lights on.
 


















Agree, quality RBM'S...give them more control. DA has such an EGO! It's a major surprise that Mark can not see how DA is in over his head.

He is totally over his head. He can't relate to people either, he has no connection to the sales force whatsoever. Everyone knows it's difficult for him to think about anyone but himself. He should do the right thing and pay his people. This contract sucks.
 






A product is only as good as the sales force that spearheads it. There are many talented & professional AAM on this team. What is lacking is a sense of urgency on managements part to do what is right by the Sales Force. For starters, get us our checks FedEx this week and don't tell us it is a glitch on Quintiles part (because we don't believe it for a second, even though Lester took the high road), because many of us have worked for them before and know for a fact it is a non-issue on their end. How can you expect us to feel a sense of commitment, loyalty & sense of urgency for how much we can make in future bonus, when you can't even pay us for past performance. I cannot for the life of me understand how M.S. cannot see that this will be a "kiss of death" for this company.
We all want to BDSI to be successful and have skin in the game, but show us your transparency and do the right thing by us. If you doubt that, just watch the numbers tank the next several weeks. It is hard to get excited when we are lied to by D.A. on a consistent basis. We all bought into what you told us and have respect for you, Al & the rest of your core team, however you do not have your finger on the pulse of this sales force if you think D.A. is motivating and driving the sales team to produce results. "Show us the money," we have already earned and were promised on the May 15th check.
