Bari

Yes except you aren't the best in the company. The division is made up of rejects from other divisions. You will be gone soon. Trust me

My intention is not to be cruel but to be realistic...... If Lilly can keep you in your current role selling Forteo to a highly specialized market for three years that would be wonderful but fiscally irresponsible. My guess is that in your geography the Rheums drive about 15-20% of an Osteo Reps Forteo numbers. Unfortunately, that doesn't justify your position. Your CEO is under tremendous pressure to deliver profit and your sales team is now considered dead weight. Management I are now the "black sheep". Heads will be falling in the upcoming weeks/months.

The only potential option is that the company "bridges" you to sell Taltz for PSA until Bari gets approved. The downside is that PSA is a highly competitive market thus the potential is limited. In addition, Bari obviously has side effects that you're not aware of..... Market potential has been impacted as Rheums will now scrutinize anything you put in front of them. Bari is damaged goods. I really wish you well. My intention is that you embrace the facts and not believe the company reatoric because it's what you want to believe. I've been there before.

Why are you trying to cause hysteria? Bari reps will be fine and will rolled into the organization that will help them keep their jobs. Bari reps are the best of the best at Lilly and will probably be kept even if it means adding them to other sales forces.

I'm sure your to be scheduled conference call the week of May 21 will be to remind you all you are the best of the best.

Ignore this idiot. I have insider information and was informed they will be keeping the Bari reps since they have invested so much in us. Take a deep breath and know we will be safe.

That is unfortunately not likely true. Inside it's official if FDA requires additional studies (2-3 years) the Bari sleeve will be desolved. All displaced reps will have an opportunity to post for open positions.

Have you ever thought what would happen to Bari's market potential should the 4 mg not be approved? Lilly at that point should abandon the drug as it wouldn't be able to compete against it's competition. No advantage what so ever.

Why are you so negative? If you don't like Lilly, leave. We don't need negativity around us.

Please just tell us the truth. I am a Bari rep and myself and all my fellow reps are scared. First of all we can't see customers because of bad access and secondly we are all staying at home because we are paralyzed with fear not knowing what is going to happen. Please just make our future existence known quickly. Don't prolong this decision and just pull the band aid off quick and let us know. We are the best reps at the company and management would be stupid to get rid of us.

I can imagine how unnerving it must be not knowing what the future holds. I'm sure management would like to provide clarity but cannot until understanding what the FDA's requiring to get the drug approved. In situations like this, senior management has created action plans based on different possible outcomes of the FDA meeting. The best case scenario Is to have both doses approved quickly. However, If additional clinical studies are required you're looking at another three years to launch. If only the 2 mg dose is approved, the market potential of the drug will significantly be reduced and they'll restructure the sales force accordingly. You need to keep your options open as the likely hood of an expedient approval is low. Good luck to you.

Why should bari reps be let go? Why are the sales force constantly punished for the failures of r&d? Shouldn't the scientists behind bari be fired?
Ask the now departed hospital group that was promised they were right sized even if sola didn't hit. They were only about 150 people and were lied to and cut. The bari group is ignorant if they think they'll be retained.

So true. I was in that group and fortunately found a role in another division. We were told we were the best and most profitable sales sleeve at Lilly. Then sola tanked and it took them 5 days after the news to cut the entire group.
