Bari

You are just trying to cause anxiety for the Bari reps. DR will never get rid of us because they spent so much time and money training us.

If they get rid of anyone, it should be the market managers and diabetes and Oncology reps. Those reps do nothing and have so many overlaps. Bari reps are the best of the best at Lilly.

It is very concerning that you actually believe Lilly will keep a sales sleeve for 3 years. Never going to happen. The money spent on salaries & training is a drop in the bucket spent on R&D, which at Lilly most fail. Ultimately all the cost of doing business is pharma. Unfortunately I have been briefed that bari sleeve will be realigned. It's very unfortunate, though the sooner all realize reality the sooner future plans can materialize. Best of luck to all!

Where will the Bari sleeve be "realigned" to?

Forteo will be promoted for another five years. It is called a biologic and can't be made so easy by generic companies! Forteo reps have a bright future for many years to come.
You're ignorant if you think manufacture of Forteo is challenging; better you stick to delivering lunch to MD's offices, because your biotechnology background is pretty weak.
Forteo is a 34-amino acid peptide derived from the N-terminal sequence of parathyroid hormone (PTH); it can be readily made in E. coli expression systems. No post-translational modifications to deal with, just straight peptide sequence ... easy stuff.
Ok, so it would be an exaggeration to say a monkey could make this stuff, but its not far from the truth.

Generic might be available in Europe in three years but it won't be generic in AMERICA for at least FIVE years plus Lilly has exclusivity rights on the delivery system for at least five or six years so even if generics can make it they won't be able to inject it!

I've been laided off before and believed what my management told me about how we were so valued, important, etc. You need to be embrace the FACTS. Biosimilars were not even available last year. It is a tidal wave that is changing the industry. Now Remicaid and others are available in the US and grabbing share. Forteo will have a biosimilar available in the US by the end of 2018. It is a fact. Please don't convince others in this forum otherwise. My guess is that there will be a large downsize in both organizations as soon as Lilly/Incite Medical meets with the FDA and is told that more clinical trails are required. I wish all of you the best of luck.

Bari sad. Total absorption of sleeve by September. Should be told look or leave by June. Expect internal openings to be filled by less than 1/4 of Bari sleeve. The remaining 3/4 gone by Sept 1st. Yes it sucks. No it wasnt the plan.

That doesn't get Lilly even close to the 50/50 opex/revenue by Q1 that is promised. Either they have some great projections on increased revenue even as Cialis and Strattera go generic or the large sleeves need to start dusting off resumes for the fall. Could be another stressful October.

Stressful October is an understatement

Why are you trying to cause hysteria? Bari reps will be fine and will rolled into the organization that will help them keep their jobs. Bari reps are the best of the best at Lilly and will probably be kept even if it means adding them to other sales forces.

In an expanding organization that would be the case. Lilly has no new foreseeable drugs in the next two years which would justify an addition of new head count. Attrition will occur and that's how a percentage of the reps will be placed. However, you will not be kept on salary to sell Forteo to Rheums for the next three years. Sometimes when there is smoke there's a fire. Good luck to you.

Start working in your resume. Don't be the ostrich with your head in the sand!

You don't know what you are talking about and are just trying to be a trouble maker. Crawl back in your hole and stop trying to make Bari reps worry. You are not a good person and just try to make Bari reps feel bad and worry. They will keep us because we have been told we are the best in the company.

Bari reps will be ok but the Market managers and Oncology and Diabetes reps are the ones who should be cut because there are so many of them.

Yes except you aren't the best in the company. The division is made up of rejects from other divisions. You will be gone soon. Trust me
