Back to work!

Greedy and selfish for Abbvie not to require Covid test negative before a field or in house employee goes back to work. It’s crazy! It’s up to you to go test yourself (insurance will cover 100%) but what about everyone else? It should be documented whether you’ve tested for it and what your status is and a once monthly test should be required. This company is so self serving and clueless. Many other pharma companies allow their reps/in house to get tested whenever they want (on their dime) and ensure negative status of all employees working inside a building. Class action law suit is the only way Abbvie will learn not to cut corners such as this. Sue Abbvie if a person infects other people with Covid because Abbvie was too cheap and lazy to set forth a safety protocol!

So AbbVie DOES provide one free in home Covid test every 30 days and it’s delivered overnight. There’s no charge for the test or the lab work and it’s up to the individual to request it. It’s your own health after all.

With the sharp rise in cases, is Abbvie allowing reps to continue to go out in the field?? I used to work there and my current company has pulled us out over the past month. Everyone stay well

who is your current company?

We are still at work. It was pretty clear when sales were down that all previous Covid guidelines were scrapped. I dont see them pulling reps from the field again. What will happen is offices will become more restricted again, but the same metrics expectations will be enforced

The chief believes we need to be in the field, in hcp offices and in our own offices.... it’s how he believes we collaborate. Eye roll... such 80s mentality. No wonder our offices are in isolated areas where employees do not have many options in terms of other employment. Where else can someone from Lake County work? Abbott??

The reps are in the field and doing just fine . Even going into hospitals and offices around the sick !! Everyone is doing good. Why can’t home office go to the office ?

I wouldn’t say the reps are doing fine, Mr. Manager. Many have been sick or are sick. Many who have years of tenure are getting shut out. I do agree that our metrics are being evaluated without them weighing in on the access issues. It’s not smart to be pushy with the offices during this time. AbbVie really needs to evaluate on a national level. Why did the map get thrown out and disregarded? Makes no sense to be exposed in clinics where the family members aren’t even allowed in, just patients. Barely any acknowledgement about the growing cases and warnings and what we are soon to be in store for.

One dip in sales and it was all hands on deck, you must hit your metrics and try not to get Covid. The saddest thing was the executive spin on how and why they made the decision. Just be honest for once.
