AXSOME

I had an initial phone screen with a lady July 12. I was moved along and have had 2 interviews since then with the new manager. I was offered the position Friday and have not accepted yet, I was offered 155 but I won’t accept for anything under 165. I countered and I think I’ll get it. It moved very quickly once the process starts at least it did for me.

How many years of psych experience do you have

What's so exciting about axsome? Their med will only have MDD indication at launch if it even gets approved.. agitation indication end of next year... maybe lol.. so basically you do understand your going to be selling a new med in a very saturated MDD market with basically minimal coverage because its new.. As well as all the psychs have told me wellbutrin is a crap med and their are other way better options for MDD so their not really interested in this new med for that indication.. Agitation indication is the clear play with Axsome but that's up in the air just like avp786 is.. I guess the only thing that's good is no baseline on goals at axsome since everything is new and goals for Nuedexta are getting out of hand at Avanir.. Idk I guess it's a tough choice... going to axsome is definitely taking a chance and going on just more money being offered.. things could definitely go south pretty quickly there so your playing with fire for sure.. Being at Avanir is playing with fire as well tho with the Otsuka merger so I guess we're all F'ed either way with both companies so the big play is to find a better opportunity with a different company other than axsome or avanir while getting paid at your current gig lol

Man you’re dumb. Do us all a favor and stay at Avanir. Uncapped bonus, high salaries, robust pipeline, solid leadership. You’re looking wayyy to into this pal. I think you ought to retire if you can’t see what’s in front of you.

Any start up carries risk but Avanir is over and half of the sales reps and many of the managers will be gone in a few weeks. There is so much upside to this company and the pay is so much more than anyone is making at Avanir

I had a call from the recruiter. Then a 30 minute call with the manager, then a 45 minute virtual interview with the manager and the next step would be a virtual interview with another manager. Not sure on salary. The recruiter said something around $150.

Hahahahaha your delusional.. Robust pipeline lmao every company has a "robust" pipeline give me a break .. Sounds like your going over there for just money so you'll get burned everyone does who chases money does eventually

it went real fast for me
I would agree it is a fast process once the initial phone screen takes place. I was surprised how
quickly I was moved along. Initial offer was a verbal 150K, I countered at 165K and agreed on 162K. I haven’t talked to anyone that has accepted under 160 as a rep and I know 4 people that have accepted and are starting.

everyone is being told 150 but just by asking you can get closer to 165-170.

OMG I left Avanir for Intra-Cellular and was contacted by a recruiter for an Axsome position. It’s sounds like everyone I knew at Avanir is taking a position there! I may consider once I figure out what is going on. Why is everyone leaving? ITC has been a good gig and I’m killing it but it sounds like there’s more money according to the recruiter.

Yikes, folks. Here’s a rep determined he’s making a difference everyday for patients. His 3-4% annual merit increase at Avanir will truly pay off 15-20 years later
