Axogen

Why isn't Susan McKinnon MD involved with this company?

For one SM is NOT a fan of their nerve allograft. Second, she is not a big supporter of their claims about connectors and gap length protocols. Also, she does NOT like ED and thinks he is a clown. Lastly, SM believes a person in ED's position must have a PHD, which he does not.

PIP plans for everyone excluding management.

dash cams, body cams and fit bits so we can track your every move

It's a 10 billion dollar market!!!

I like the 10B. Ask KZ, SM, JE or even JG how big the nerve repair market is and you will get 4 very different answers. Reality is, even after 8-9 yrs of doing this, they still don't have a clue. Nobody does. That's what makes the forecasts and quotas so entertaining and why so few reps ever hit there number. There chasing something that isn't real. It's all BS. As long as the top cats get there weekly chunk of change, they could give a rats a@@ about the rest of you and that's fact.

If you have any sense dont base your decisions to work for a company off of these websites. Its about 90% BS and mostly people from rival companies and fired employees commenting across the forums.

Heres some honesty for you...its a small company so dont expect huge NSM thats just the way it is. If you want to work for a company that you can brag about then go push trays somewhere else because Axogen isn’t it. Average rep is 140-160ish with top reps over 200. QOL is the best I’ve seen in 12 years including working for Zimmer and Medtronic. In fact most the reps are seasoned reps from larger companies who no longer care about company name status and put more weight on QOL. I personally went from a market that had all Integra 2 years ago to only one account carrying it instead of us. There’s also lots of data now and coming out that supports the graft in all lengths. To say Integra doesn’t care and isnt doing anything then try again...they have new stuff to try and go against the nerve graft just wait you’ll see. SM does us the products so thats a lie. She also does labs at washu with her residents and axogen. Think about it...shes the nerve guru and fails (immunosuppression) and someone else beats her to it...of course shes a little bitter. At this point you have enough people across the US using it to where no one really cares what she does. Of course the company is not without fault and crap management but who isnt these days. Fact is you’re not going to make 400K there and you’re not going to get to run around boasting how you work for a large corporation. QOL is great and pay is good considering. I’m sure someone will bash what I said but come back in a few years and see what the company is doing. Matter of fact do it now...look at employees 5 years ago to now. Also look at usage because people can say what they want but numbers don’t lie. It’s a growing company both in reps and surgeons. If you’re considering then ask people who work there or ask your surgeons. Ask people who can’t hide behind “anonymous”.

Isn't employee turnover the tale of the this company?

Can you accurately refute the previous posts?

Ok. I see where you posted your name tough guy. Your full of s@@t, no one gets fired from AxoGen, they leave because the $$ sucks. Avg rep does NOT make anywhere near your bulls@@t numbers. If they did, your turnover would not be though the roof. Those are facts!!!

Also, in a few years, AxoGen will still be a ham n egger company run by incompetents with douchebags like yourself posting bullsh@@ on CP.

Oh, I forgot, I did ask my surgeons about AxoGen and they said they have a different rep every year. Speaks volumes.

Hmm. let me guess, JP or a DM wrote this. Doesn't matter, the content is nonsense. Most reps at axg were prior assoc reps or, are new MD reps. NOBODY worth a damn leaves Zimmer, MDT or Depuy to work for the peanuts Axg pays just for a better QOL. That's 100% pure BS!!!

To Axogen Upper management - you need to clean house at your level. These post tell a story that isn't good for you or the company ! Basically quit lying to everyone.

Too funny, no rep wrote this. Seasoned my ass. Ever been on LinkedIn BW, SM or John? No quality rep is leaving Zimmer, Depiuy, etc. to go work at AxoGen for $100k. AxoGen comp plan is garbage and everyone knows it. A few reps in key markets are making a little money but, the other 90% are dying or bolting, which explains the ever revolving door of personnel. Also, how in the hell can you have QOL working your backside off, driving all over gods country and not having any money to show for it? Any rep who has worked at Axoegn knows this to be factual same as they know your post to be delusional.

Unrealistic quotas + lots of driving around + below standard comp + incompetent management = Axogen

I would agree with the above post in that one should never make a decision to work for a company entirely based off CP or any other website. Also, it appears to be fact that Axogen is a growing company. Equally as important, is the fact of an extremely high turnover and low tenure of most reps. I believe where there is smoke there is fire and there are several red flags here which cannot be denied. Any given company can provide QOL and be "growing" but yet still be dysfunctional and not offer an attractive comp package to maintain good talent. Smart individuals should do good deal of homework before jumping on board.

Many red flags. Much truth throughout the comments.

Wow, lots of bitter people out there. What did that small company really do piss so many of you off. Must have been pretty bad if you are still talking about it or failed that hard. Makes me wonder how many of you left vs. being asked to leave? Guess it wasn't the right place or the right time, but hell, guess that's living in the past ain't it.

Give you some advice, if you are still at AXGN and not happy, try finding a way to fix it. If you truly think a company you are working for won't at least hear what you have to say, then what does that say about you.

If you just need CP as an anonymous place to vent and feel like your a big sh!t, then carry on.g

Most people looking at a company on CP actually want to know the REAL picture, not a bunch of BS and bitter insecurities...get with the program people.

I'm going in for my interview this week. Guess we will see how it goes. If it's as bad as you say, it'll be some entertaining people watching.

The products are great, they really help patients and they have way more data than the competion. Increased adoption = better revenues. From the prior quarterly reports, looks like GM and cash burn is better than anticipated. Clinical evidence and education seems to be working in their favor.
