Attune info

Anyone have any details about instruments? What to avoid, what they don't like? Anyone else have any other experiences?

Has anyone had a surgeon try Attune and Persona? I've also been heavily considering making the move to Zimmer. Attune and Persona will play a role in my decision

By now you should have been through Attune training. You should be able to determine for yourself if the instruments will help or hurt you. As with most things some will really like them=and others wont. I would guess for 80%+ of your customers they will be great.

Going to Attune training doesn't tell you how they function in the OR. If everything worked like the marketing/engineer teams say, then every surgeon would love HP instruments and there would be no objections.

Probably the same 80% we told ASR was the latest greatest thing out. I can tell you that our trust level is about 80% down. And the instruments definetly could use some work. Almost everyone at "training" agrees.

They also told us how great the balanced sizer was and that doesn't seem to be working out. I just look at persona launch and attune launch and it really says alot.

Persona has CR, deep dish, PS, and a constrained bearing. The have pressfit and cemented. The instruments are slick and the knee has a good story.

Attune has a good story. We have CR and PS with no revision or constrained options. Cemented only and RP won't be launched for a while. This doesn't include the issue of launching the knee with out all of the sizes.

So with Persona you can completely switch a customer over. With Attune there are all these scenarios where you still have to have sigma there.

I'm getting really tired of Depuy making a big production about a product and then not fully launching it. Gription TF- still haven't seen the shims yet have we. Reclaim- still haven't seen all the stems yet have we. Attune- who knows when we will get all the sizes and god knows when revision options will be available.

But isn't this typical DePuy? This is how the marketing clowns get promoted. They just blow smoke. By the time it catches up to them they've moved on to the next big thing. Then they get annoyed if you point out the past. Poor product launches are accepted. Be assured they are patting each other on the back for a job well done.

After seeing all the product managers at NSM I am not surprised. A bunch of women and young guys with little to no time actually in an OR or in the field. What little time they are in or or field is spent with consultants. This is why you seen spending so much time on getting all these apps out and not getting us products and much needed updates.

I wish you weren't right!

I wish we had some internal resources but there isn't one marketing person I'd put in front of my customers. Either they don't have enough product knowledge or they're still going through puberty. The question I have is what happened to the people that had history, knew the products inside and out and were credible enough to put in front of a doc? Maybe there's an app for that.

They were in front of Docs telling them ASR is amazing..... That's why they left and don't wanna be a part anymore.

Marketing thinks they are the best thing ever. Ask them to describe any competitors instruments and they go blank. Patella resection and tibial evaluation spike are examples
