Pardon the stupid question, if Alexion was purchased and is still a great place to be why would argenx be such a stupid play even knowing the likelihood is high that it’s taken over shortly.
 








I think Argenx is a good move. Great product, stock options, and more. All quality talent is being hired. If Argenx is bought, there is a high probability of being kept on in the new company because of our relations. Plus... the stock options!

Is there a chance we will be gone in a year? Yes, though unlikely. What company in our industry is job guaranteed? If you can sell, you will be well.

Total BS. No company is going to tell you that you’re the last hire. And if they do, then you should be totally insulted by that. Furthermore, your call 2 days ago was Tuesday? So I guess they finished interviewing the rest of this week in Boston just for fun, right? Whatever.
 




Is this a decent start up job yes, is it dream situation no. Base salaries are higher than most but company is pulling the money from benefits to fund those higher salaries. Decent strategy for executive leadership to do to lure talent in. Just do your research of your total comp package including all benefits. Everything has a comp value associated with it. Also the likelyhood of this company still being called Argenx beyond 18 months is slim.
