Any word on MS Panel Interviews?

Wow, you are a piece of work. Actually, more like a piece of crap. How dare you imply so many people are seat fillers. Genentech is looking for the best and not just internal candidates. No one appreciates your back handed comment. And no, you are not in. Regardless of what you think.

I just got a message that said I am still in the running but they are waiting for managers input before they will know more. I would guess this isn't a good sign. I'm sure to expect one of the reasons you all have listed above.

My latest communication was via e-mail and contained the following:

We wish to inform you that you are still under active consideration for this opportunity. Please note panel interviews will be ongoing through the end of May, and we will update you in regards to your candidacy as soon as we have more information.

I am sure it was a mass copy and paste.

Rule number one: don't make the mistake of making assumptions. Also, you need to check yourself and realize one thing. You really are an unlikeable dick.
 






Wholeheartedly agree as an insider to the members only DNA country club. Not for faint of heart that's for sure where brown nosing gets you somewhere and white males are discriminated whether it be hiring or promotion. But those dying to dive in won't take any of it? Y'all be warned.

Well at least you Gene peeps belong to the country club. You certainly are not spending money on employee salaries! Outside candidates are shocked how low you pay. Low salary, average bonus, no pension, OK 401k. You really have nothing to brag about, your total compensation package amongst dozens of other pharma outfits is average at best. You guys really are arrogant and this expansion has truly exposed your company for what it is, mediocre big pharma with the same problems and disgruntled employees. Bahaaabahaaa lmao

Dude - Econ 101 supply & demand, get it y'all? And perhaps 1 sure way to screen out the external peeps whose biggest motivation is salary (vs. DNA creedo of all about patients)? Listen - IF you are top dog and offered a job (BIG IF mind you) then you have the leverage to negotiate a hell of lot better salary!

Over 5k external candidates applied not to mention internal peeps with easy access to schedule the informational interviews not to mention lubing the system (Roche lingo here) by getting the support lined up to influence? Listen DNA has the BEST overall compensation beyond salary and bonus as inside peeps received individually prepared overall comp report last year and it was eye opening. Y'all little folks just don't get it and that's fine, chumps.

These types of messages are complete trash and useless. Also, drop the "Y'all" as its extremely annoying and childish. On second thought, please save it when you interview so the hiring manager knows you are one of the idiots that post this trash.

Bottom line is this. Of course Genentech will select some strong internal candidates but they will take a good amount of external strong candidates as well. This is a fact. The company isn't stupid and they want extremely successful and talented sales people with proven successful track records that work well with others. They want a strong launch and want the best people for the job. This isn't rocket science.

To the well-intentioned, normal and sane people out there:
If you get the call to move forward, you will have a good chance to get the opportunity. They are looking at BOTH internal and external candidates. You are not a seat filler. The company isn't going to invest time, airline tickets and other expenses just to bring you out. There will be two rounds of panel interviews about 45 minutes each. As most know by now, interviewing will start next week and will conclude in the final week of May. Pay no more attention to these incredibly ignorant and vicious posts. They are meant to try to throw people off their game and discourage. If it isn't already abundantly obvious, these short dick men that have been posting this useless trash banter have revealed their own insecurities just like children. It's hard to believe that grown men act this way isn't it? Truly cringeworthy. These are the types of idiots that give pharmaceutical reps a bad name. I guarantee that most of these idiots will not end up with the job. It's hard to hide this type of behavior and character. Don't listen to this crap anymore.

One more thing. I'm one of the hiring managers. I'm ashamed of the arrogance of some of these so-called existing Genentech reps. Fortunately, most are not like this.

I think that most reps have been cherry picked for these roles and the areas that are open are ones where they have a very low level of talent. In some of the major areas, there were many very qualified candidates and the ones that are being chosen to move on were kind of hand picked. P1 and the manager wasted many of the reps time. Also, to give the same "bogus" answer as to why we are being disqualified..."decision making"...is absurd. Can't they come up with several reasons, LOL. WE ALL got the same response. Plus, if Genentech uses P1, that's another BIG problem due to how horrible P! is.

I got rejection too. No big deal. I still have a great job.

Please get a bit more thick skinned and realize that Genentech is saying "we don't want you right now". That is your reason for being rejected. It doesn't matter how they word it. Stop being so sensitive.
 






I have been selling in the MS Market for 7 years, it is filled with entitled, winy salespeople who think they are physicians.

The Genentech culture seems perfect for the sales reps currently in MS, they are just mad that one exclusive club now seems better than the exclusive club they are in.

The only thing special about MS Reps in how much we are paid.
