If you are a manager, you should be ashamed of the arrogance of the reps that work for this Company. I've never seen anything like it. I do disagree with you, though. I think that most reps have been cherry picked for these roles and the areas that are open are ones where they have a very low level of talent. In some of the major areas, there were many very qualified candidates and the ones that are being chosen to move on were kind of hand picked. P1 and the manager wasted many of the reps time. Also, to give the same "bogus" answer as to why we are being disqualified..."decision making"...is absurd. Can't they come up with several reasons, LOL. WE ALL got the same response. Plus, if Genentech uses P1, that's another BIG problem due to how horrible P! is.
Finally we get a sincere post from someone and then you have to leave this kind of message? I'm no expert, but I have seen this before. The arrogance of "all these reps" probably amounts to about two people that have no lives and continue to post. I have no doubt about that. My encounters with several people from Genentech have been nothing but good over the years so I'm not changing my opinion based on anonymous posts that are again probably left from a few head cases. It sounds like you are not moving forward and you are a bit upset yourself. You got an appropriate answer at this poin considering you hadn't gone through any face to face. You had a phone interview along with several hundred other people. Perhaps they just had stronger candidate than you and that's that. With the shear amount of applicants which has been enormous, they aren't going to go deep on why you weren't selected, especially when they never met you in person. So take you personal hurt feelings out of this and realize just how many people they have to funnel through. All your comments are just feelings and not facts and you have no idea who they are going to select. Your comments are absurd. At least wait to see who ends up with these positions before you bitch. Life the other post, I have a feeling it will be an equal mix of internal and external but I have no way of knowing how this will come out until it happens and you don't either. If you weren't selected to move forward, okay it just wasn't meant to be and something better will come along. I certainly wouldn't be hanging on this thread and complaining when you just need to move on. Maybe they picked the worst recruiting company but when you have thousands of candidates that then get funneled down to hundreds, what do you expect them to do. Interview for 6 months?
