Annette Powers… doomed leader

Reading these threads it does not surprise me (as a former Celgene employee) that she lacks the basic understanding about working in access. No payers know her or have even heard of her. She is not interested in getting to learn about them. Just a few snippets here and there from her team. Has rarely attended payer meetings. She is indeed naive when it comes to the access space no matter how much she talks it up.

With Chris gone & Powers interim, I hope they get someone competent from outside BMS to run the Access function. Still layers of management exist especially at the VP level that need to be trimmed,

Let's talk about hiring from external.....the biggest issues MAx has had is Chris M and Rangini. RANGINI was a disaster and Chris wasn't a help either. Annette has WAY more experience and wisdom than ALL senior leadership. Commercial has NO idea about market access - outside (or maybe even inside) oncology. We are a different company, we need to evolve. Market access is WAYYYYY more important now than ever before. You are giving no credit to AP for STARTING HEOR at BMS years ago, or her experience in the past 10 years. It sounds like these nay sayers are upset bc maybe you got let go. Many of us didn't deserve to be let go (and many did....), these leaders are given numbers. They have to let go people right now. Sucks yes, but do not disparage good people like you're doing to AP. She's not blowing smoke, she's in your face and honest to a fault, and she knows her stuff. Sorry if you're feelings are hurt with her transparency. Being honest about her criticism of leadership is a good thing. Shame on you for airing here. Adam is doing no favors either for market access, so if she's talking about these things - which I can't corroborate, I hope she is, because Market access needs more importance in this organization. It will be the downfall if it doesn't start to change. She can do that.
 












Was informed about this post by a college from Eisai. This was really entertaining. Seems like AP is up to her same tactics kicking up a $hitstorm to gain attention. If she is running access at BMS, it is doomed. Lady is disaster.

When is Lurch replacing numbnuts with Powers? Seems like the obvious thing a moron like him would do. She is his DEI preferred candidate especially since she sucks up to him & dogs him behind his back.
 
























The whole access division is a circus. Post Mike Ryan, it’s been a revolving door. With Lurch in change of commercial this has gotten even worse. Unless they get a strong external leader (unlike Useless Mancil) they will be in trouble. If Powers is the solution they have, everyone should leave right away. In fact they already are. What a calamity.
