I seriously hope somone takes the time to get a real good leader for Max , this organization plays a major role in the company's profitability, yet it always ends up with weak clueless leaders. Time for a 180 degree change is now if BMS has any chance of survival!!

Unfortunate that people without basic understanding have these roles across Pharma. There are VPs and SVPs with not enough experience in their areas of work. Somewhere in the 90s there was a change towards the thinking that experience and knowledge are not needed. HR became bigger and new ideas which turned to failed tactics are now coming to light. Weak Managers started hiring and promoting people who would be big kiss ups which saved the managers and in the process work and results were lost. Rather, useless results were projected as big work for these people which was followed by everyone around agreeing to save their own skins. The other issue is that participation in extra curricular (outside of work) activities became an important factor for survival. So a C2C bike ride is more relevant than spending all their days at work trying to get the productivity going. The working class who came to work and went home to their life were suddenly losing jobs and promotions.
 




Chris Boerner needs to realize how incompetent she is. If he relies on Lurch, he will get a very weak access leader. Hiring from outside would send a strong statement to the whole VAP organization. Shape up or leave. Let’s be candid. AP is USELESS. Four years ago, nobody knew who she was. She latched on to Lurch like a leech. That was her ticket to ride.

This has to be either Powers or Lurch typing this. Very classy. It makes sense as to why they get along. Lurch, your time seems to be up at BMS. McKinsey have their eagle eye on you. Powers…. Go read a book on HEOR and Pricing. Read it slowly and keep an Advil next to you since your head may hurt. Outside of gossip nothing interests you. What a clown shop VAP is in its current state.

Someone ought to remind this poster that the Eliquis RWE program was responsible for generating BILLIONS in revenue. The so called “ivory tower” scientists delivered on great science and even greater revenue. The current leadership under AP is directionless, feckless, brainless, and spineless. Good luck with this lethal combination.

Medical plotted the demise of HEOR, pubs and many other groups. Along with this came the weakening of VAP. The CEO never seemed to like Mike Ryan. No one works in this company other than the lowest rungs. The rest are useless, plotting, putting out who they can, hiring friends and laying off threats. No clear strategic direction from anyone in position of power. They look for strategy from AD and below. Otherwise, they need the crutch of external consultants by paying them millions to come up with a strategy which eventually turns out to be sh**.
