Anesthesia and Emergency Positons

All these posts are very disturbing. If you are not happy with your job, leave and find something else. Nothing is keeping you here. The problem with the mentality of most of you is that you feel entitled to make money with as little effort as possible. I do feel sorry for you and hope that you find happiness.

OMG....You are an idiot. This company is disturbing. We are busting our butts to make $$$ with litttle or no support from the marketing team. I know I enjoy selling our product line, however without advertising, no new products, no nothing and when we are promised something new, it is just a bandaid solution.

Yes, I was sold the Golden Gate Bridge for no money down during my interview, so bad on me. KS needs to realize that their interviewing tactics in regards to compensation promises, are just going to come back at them sooner than later.

The current Airway Salesforce aren't slackers any in way, shape or form. We give 150% everyday with little support from management & marketing.

Airway is a dead gig.
It's an entry level job for reps looking to cut their teeth at a quality company.
Nothing more. Get over it.

This is the reason I left Airway in 2011. Please help me understand why you all are STILL THERE!?!?! The market is tough, but not with Device. GET A NEW JOB already!!! We were hired as grunts... LEAVE for something better. No use talkin about it, APPLY somewhere else.

I think it was a rep in the western region thats no longer with the company. Any guesses who it is going to be this year??

Well, the way things are going.. I can ASSURE you it won't be ME! Lol. And with my quota practically doubling and no Marketing of our products, next year is not looking so good either :/

Less than 5% reps are gonna have a million dollars in sales this year, so just look at the numbers at the end of the month and you will know who the finalists are going into the end of the year.

It really is a shame, that we have so few territories doing so well. Thank you Karl Storz and a special shout out to Marketing.

So how are we all looking for end of year? I've recently made my 6th round of visits to all of my accounts that do not have a CMAC... they STILL have Glidescopes that they love and they STILL tell me to come back in a couple of years. They use my flexibles and Brite Blades are way overpriced for their budget. Looks like my 2013 is already dependent on repair business... oh, and my quota will be going up 250k. Nice. I don't even care about Marketing anymore, I need something that is ground-breaking and INNOVATIVE to sell. I'm tired of this horse crap and walking in with the same old garbage day after day.

Is management really seeing these posts????

Rumors are flying that management aren't happy with these posts.....Truth hurts. As of yesterday, I have seen every potential customer in my territory 5 times, done numerous trials, sent quotes with great pricing and I am still in the basement.

I wish someone would realize that many of us aren't making money because we need new products & better pricing for the products we do sell. I have read all these posts and this is my first time posting on this board. I am seeing the light and will be sending out my resume soon. Is Verathon hiring?

We need to shoot WAY higher than another Airway gig. I'm sure previous AMARs didn't go to another competitor of this crap. I've got my 2 years in with Storz now, that should be enough to land a "real" device job.

One Question....Other than our monthly quota percentages and maybe a monthly region report from our RMs, we really don't have any "brag" sources to show potential employers.

I need ideas for KS additions for my brag book. I have two years in too, but other than commission check stubs, and a few other items, nothing shows my successes here.

My advice to you is just use what the company gave you when you got hired & be
creative. (Hint- Cut & Paste)

Just lie and tell them you are a Core rep. We all went through Core training and know the stuff, plus they're not going to call and verify a job that we're currently working at. They won't know any better.

Geeez. That is pathetic. You are giving the rest of us airway reps a bad rep. Have some integrity and don't lie about what your job is or cut and paste fake #s. Bottom line is we have a very tough job and still manage to sell our products in places that all have Glidescopes, etc. Hopefully you're like me and consider yourself a damn good sales person and should be proud of your accomplishments and the obstacles you've had to overcome. Good luck on the job search.

You have to be realistic buddy......Your resume gets you in the door. You then sell yourself and your accomplishments to the potential employer to land the job. If that HR, Hiring Manager or his boss doesn't see any highlights for 1-2 years, you are not gonna land a new job.

Your goal is to get a job, sometimes you need to embellish to land one. If not, than the alternative is to stay at this pathetic company and wait for it to fold. I for one am not waiting. The job market is tough in these times especially with other medical device & pharma companies streamlining their sales teams, you either need to make yourself standout or not even try looking or a job. Companies want winners....Period!

Who cares....Leave if you must or stay if you want. The next six months will unfold the future of Airway.

Luck has nothing to do with the interview process. You need the ability to sell yourself to the hiring manager and show documentation to confirm your successes. So if I need to be creative with the documentation, then so be it. I need to get out of this hell hole called Karl Storz.

Cause we, as AMARs, don't already have a bad reputation? Lol! Look man, we consider ourselves great sales people, but having high self esteem isn't going to get my resume in front if a hiring Manager at a real device company for a REAL sales job. But, perhaps bending the truth a bit certainly WILL. Isn't too far of a stretch to just say that I'm an 'Upper' rep that also is part of a team that sells integrated OR1's. We've been trained on it, know it well, and now can justify applying for a $300k position even when coming from a $100k airway position. If, on the off chance, they DO call Storz... Oh well then I happened to get caught on that one single interview. Bottom line is that everybody fudges their resume, that's no secret. I've already written myself a letter of recommendation on Storz letterhead from my RM and a congratulatory letter for being 150% to quota for three consecutive quarters, haha. As long as I get my foot in the door somewhere the hiring manager won't know any better and then I can focus on selling myself to him.

If another company calls our HR Dept, all they can confirm is when we started with KS & our current compensation -55K + Commission). Thats it. On the application for the new company, check the box that says you do not wish Karl Storz( current employer) to be contacted.

Totally with you on the letterhead. Made myself 1st or 2nd in the region for past year showing growth. Also added some additional responsibilities - District Trainer, Representative Advisory Board, etc. Have several bites from various device companies, just waiting for best offer.

Good Luck!
