And now, we lose storage lockers........

I have a garage and it has three cars in it. No way I am putting marketing material inside of it. This is a stupid thing for shire to take away. Maybe I will stop ordering marketing material.

Well stated and it was the advisory board not management that made the recommendation! So it is time to go on with life.

Don't let idiots like that ruin the issue... can't u tell that is a fake trying to get a reaction and only idiots fall for his/her trap. Don't be stupid and get sucked into that. You probably believe ur docs when they tell u every one of their patients is on Vyvanse. They don't have three cars in their garage. Even if they did, who cares the issue is kk took our storage units... as stated several times here. Maybe u didn't need one. Doesn't mean that a large portion of us do need one. Stop the lies about the advisory board loser... not true. Even if it was recommended by our CEO and board members it is the duty of our sales leader kk to put her foot down and fight for us. That is her job. She needs to have our backs instead of walking all over them. A true leader would shut down a stupid recommendation like that.... that is the truth!

Maybe Shire should stop paying your salary! What a spoiled little boy response! Grow up and be a MAN!

My salary consists of me going out in the field and doing my job. It does not mean I have to now hoard material in my place of residence because Shire is too cheap to properly pay for storage. I have never had a company make me pay to store COMPANY items. Extra square footage does not come cheap in some cities. I am not a 1099 employee, last I checked my expenses to do company business were covered outside of of my salary.

What's next? Are we now going to be expected to pay for our lunch and learns? Shire pays my salary to sell. I am not in the storage business. Frankly, I don't have the space and even if I did, I doubt my wife would want all of that stuff in the house. I will store and order whatever fits in the company fusion. I will not order anything more than that. Once again, the patients and offices will suffer for leaderships inability to do what is right.

I have made Shire way more money over the years than they pay me in salary. Even in my worst year, I have made them enough profit to pay for a measily storage locker. How about you hire one less B&L reject and let us keep the locker. Hire two less and let us keep the Internet/cell phone costs or remove yourself and I will happily pay out of pocket for storage, cell and any other expenses you will soon elimate.

and she tried to sneak it into a random email with 20 other items.

I'm not a kk hater but that was dirty... exactly what a crooked politician would do.... dump the bad stuff out in a Friday afternoon email. We aren't that dumb to see through it kk... the people advising you aren't doing a good job. Only giving us until October 1st seems wrong to me as well. You need to hire a personal PR firm girl cuz u be strugglin...

Not sure I believe this. But the advisory board is likely all higher level reps with 5,000 square feet homes & 3 car garages if it is true they suggested this. I have neither. This crap will not all fit in my car. Where exactly does the advisory board suggest I should keep it? Would kk stack this crap up in the corner of her living room?

What does that save a headcount of maybe 3-4 reps? Pleeeaaaasssseee. Get rid of a couple of RD's and increase their rep count so they are not in the same offices and 3-6 weeks. Put them on a MINIMUM 6-8 week routing schedule so that you can actually get through a call plan before they are asking you "what's new since our last ride?". I haven't even had a chance to follow up with the doc since the last time you and my overlay were here.

Some of us need a storage unit. I live in the city in a small condo. I don't have a garage and do not feel that it's fair to expect me to store this stuff in my limited personal living space. Even if I did have more space, why should I have to store the extra clutter at my residence? Many have HOA that fine you for a large amount of packages delivered on your front porch. Many will require you to have a permit to operate a business out of your home.

Nailed it!!! For some people it's more than an issue of storing the items, but it's also an issue of the amount of packages we get and a place that will accept them.

I live in a building that has storage lockers for rent (which I was using because I don't have room in my place), but they don't allow "excessive, bulk deliveries to a home office" which I was deemed to have within six months of moving in. They told me they didn't have the space to accept the high volume of packages I received for work and I needed to make other arrangements or they would start denying all of my package deliveries.

Bottom line: our patients are the ones who will suffer because of this decision and that's just sad.
