No idea what happened. But just got back from toasting wine with the ladies. I hate for people to lose their jobs and that is true even though he was a complete DB. How cold hearted was this though? Made the man get up before dawn to train the East Coasters on Ong and then BOOM! Your reward for that is getting canned. The guy never had a full region and had reps quit left and right. This should have happened awhile ago but why now after they made him train everyone? HK is cold hearted.
So who takes his place ? SH is probably the most qualified. CR has multiple COE wins and is in our Girl Power club so that’s a bonus. Even though she can’t carry a coherent thought she’d probably get it over SH.
I remember after we let a bunch of people go after POA JR said this was the last of the personnel changes. Which lasted about a month until they dissolved Spasticity and brought them all back to PD. At which point JR and HK pinky promised these were the last changes ! Anyone sensing a pattern?

Aside from having an affair with one of his reps for years I heard from someone in corporate that he bullied his reps, he made racist and discriminatory remarks all the time. Apparently he was reported to corporate a bunch of times but HR ignored it, he was very good at hiding it but was finally caught. The guy is lucky that he is not being sued by the company and his reps for his doings. The high turnover was because of him, anybody who knew the guy expected this to happen sooner than later.

The above poster is the bully and lier here. Stop hiding behind an anonymous guest name and identify yourself. Dan was not a racist nor was he having an affair. Look around, reps. come here to get trained for better paying jobs. You will see a lot of PD reps. shuffle out the door now that the game is over. They either leave home and work or they will be shown the door.

Im not sure who this is, but I could say the same about your message to hide behind the post, you should have signed your name. I worked for DS 5-6 years ago and he was DB back then. Some of the team members complained about him and his behavior then and nothing was done. I can’t speak for what just happened but he was very selective of the reps he liked and bullied back then. Managers don’t get fired for no reason, he did something.

Can't believe they fired DS, we all know his negative reputation but he was with the company a long time. You don't fire a senior manager that has been with the company that long unless he did something very bad. Guy couldn't keep a team together for longer than 3 months, all his reps kept quitting on him, I can only assume there was a reason for it. Pharma is a cold business to be in

I find it difficult to believe he had an affair. He was just gross. We have two or three good looking RBMs but he wasn’t one of them.

I agree, he was gross so there is no way. He did said something inappropriate to another region's rep in last year's NSM and he was reported for it, not sure what happened with that. He used to make fun of people from other countries very openly which was surprising to all of us at the time being a RBM. He must have done something serious to be fired.
 




I agree that they wouldn’t terminate a senior RBM for no reason. This isn’t a layoff so JR’s promise for no personnel changes doesn’t carry over to this. This was a termination for behavior issues.

There’s only one female on his team that seemed to like him as a manager and that’s CR. I don’t think they were having an affair but she was definitely his favorite rep and seemed to get preferential treatment.
