I’m ready for my Day Of Reflection!

It is nice they found a way to give us the day after Thanksgiving off. It’s about time they gave us a day off that every other Pharma company has off! Could this be a sign of more good things to come?

Ever since the helicon days of Joe T and the Patel Brothers Buy Back we have not had the Friday after Thanksgiving. We technically don’t have this year off either since we have to use it to ‘reflect’. I don’t care what they call it. I’m just glad we finally got it off!
 




For a company that keeps saying how transparent they are it seems they never tell us anything. And they wonder why the Field Sales Force is always skeptical. For instance, anyone seem official word when our Bonus will be paid? I had to ask my manager and the told me. But I haven’t seen anything from HR Payroll or Home Office. Heck even putting it in an email from JR or his girl HK would be a refreshing change. But nope, nothing. It’s a small thing to be sure but shows the mentality of ‘leadership’

Come on, you are being just a little childish. Your manager told you when your bonus will be paid. You will get your Scorecard immediately before the funds hit your account. I would think Joe and Helen have better things to do than send an email out announcing when Q3 payouts are coming.

the person said they had to ask their manager when bonus was being paid. Taking care of your sales teams would also seem to be a prime responsibility of sales leaders. All past companies I worked at had the payout dates listed on their annual company calendar. I don’t think taking 30 seconds to ask your Executive Assistant to send out an email letting the sales team know when they were getting paid is a big ask. It just seems odd that reps have to ask when they are getting their bonus

You must have misunderstood my post. I’m ecstatic we finally get the day off. I think it’s a very clever way to phrase it and tip my hat to JR for coming up with the idea! I’m going to be reflecting where my partner is spending money for Christmas!

I wonder if they will announce our new drug at the Town Hall meeting? I wonder if the dozen and a half or so members of the Spasticity team will be acknowledged ? I’m looking forward to what is and is NOT said!

Ha! Yes I will. I’m holding steady looks like I’ll be over 100%. How are your reps doing? Nice deflection from the main point though. Communication and transparency have always been an issue at this Company. Leadership subscribes to the ‘Knowledge is Power’ model. So they withhold information to retain the aura of power. The problem with that model is it fosters distrust and animosity. Which, ironically the new Leadership says it wants to eliminate.
 








Welcome back my Spasticity Brethren and Sisters. We are glad you are back into the fold. Is it true that the #1 rep was let go? How many got moved to the little kids table of Endo? Although honestly that might not be a bad place to be if IPX craps the bed. I think this was a good move from the Company but I’m sorry that so many suffered so much during this experiment. Gustavo left such a mess but hopefully this finally puts an end to the shuffling for awhile. Although since April JR has been telling us these are the last of the changes…only to make more changes.
 




I wonder what interesting topics will be discussed at the Manager Meeting this week? Do we even have someone in charge of PD? Is HK just planning on running everything herself?

Training lost MM, AP and JL a month or two ago. I don’t know of anyone who shed a tear for MM leaving with the possible exception of his ‘personal assistant’ CH. CH, JA SW and yes SF are still there. I take exception to your label of SF. That woman is a saint. She is universally liked and respected in the company and from the field. Anyone who has any animosity towards her probably needs to look in the mirror and reevaluate their opinion. She is absolutely everything you want a Training Leader to be- Upbeat Positive Knowledgeable and Empathetic. I wish she was in charge of all of training. We’d be better for it

The training department had a lot of power for a long time. SH came from training and had a lot of influence while running the Department. Then he ended up running the Sales Teams. DS had some power as well but not as much as SH. MM had waaaay too much influence over peoples careers and was quite frankly not qualified to be in the position he was in. He was awful. Played favorites. Held grudges. Enjoyed playing mind games. Truly horrible to a lot of people including his training team. There are stories upon stories of how he treated people who worked for him in questionable ways. Having him gone is a good thing. I would not judge the Training Manager like SF JA or sw harshly. They did their best in a difficult situation. CH……well it’s not really a secret why she’s where she is
