Wow, so can you explain the fraud investigation thats going on now? I do not think anyone is questioning what the patients that are served want or dont want on this forum. I have experienced first hand just about everything that has been mentioned on here in my office. Even VERY appropriate patients being turned down because the nurses are too lazy to do the work. Yep, thats really providing quality care.

He tryed to make believe that a man in his position and power had no clue about calls and puts. He knew very well and this speaks to the insider trading that has gone on and is the downfall of this organization. FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD! They make Health South look like rookies!

If no fraud then why on 09/28/2010 reports are that DoJ is continuing investigation. This company does not care about the patients. It is all about the numbers. Reminds me of Catch 22. They don't take patient's because of the type of insurance they have. They don't care how stressed or maxed out the staff is. The turn over in the offices & field staff is approximately 1-3 years. That job is like thinking about an abusive ex-husband. All the trouble that they are in makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

You are soooo brain washed!! So tell me, are you leaving untrue suck up messages to show management your loyalty? Are you trying to show that you are a team player, so when they start cutting jobs,k you MIGHT get to keep yours? Is this one of their "processes" that they teach you for fixing the crappy reputation that this company has had for a very long time? Are they going to change their symbol like Wal-Mart did to try to fix it? Doesn't matter. The core of the company remains spoiled. Don't worry, they will take great care of you, just like they do their patients and employees.

BTW. How did you find this site? I bet you typed in "Amedisys sucks" too.
 








this is a sad sack company..........investigations by 3 government agencies-they can try to spin in anyway they want but where there is smoke there is fire. this is a burning ship maybe the rats will jump off soon?
 








I completely agree! I used to want this company to succeed but now I think they deserve whatever they get. Such poor management! It is all about the numbers--not the patients. Yes, they hide behind, "We want to provide quality care" but it really is all about the numbers. I no longer want to be apart of this and am going to have a hard time selling for an organization I don't believe in. I am starting to look elsewhere though. It's unfortunate and very sad.

In the space of a couple of weeks the roof blew off my house and my sister had a radical neck dissection, esophageal reconstruction and permanent trachestomy due to esophageal cancer. I asked for a leave of absence to take care of these issues and it was denied. I had to quit. Believe me, I know how Amedisys takes care of its own.

That is a shame, but not uncommon.

I had an AE quit because their father passed away, unexpectedly, in Chicago, she lived in Buffalo. Laura Eha didn't want to give her the time off because she hadn't accrued enough time from her start date. Luckily her AVP Amy Wagner stood up to the witch and gave the AE her time off.

Nah, not a violation of FMLA. Just a violation of common sense and decency. It does violate just about all of the Core Beliefs Amedisys holds so dear and was just plain dumb. Given 2 weeks off unpaid and I would have been good to go. Now they have to hire and train a new CM. Makes no sense after they paid all those salaries in New Orleans after Katrina went thru. Good luck to all. Maybe they will become wiser and maybe not. I will go elsewhere and hopefully won't get any splatter on me.
