AIT Laboratories

How can paycuts be coming when there are a ton of open positions?

look at what the positions are... the majority are sales positions. when a company isn't offering new products, lays off senior management, and then hires a bunch of sales people, what does that spell? desperation.

the only "new" jobs are for sales. the rest are backfills for the smart ones that left. the sales jobs are all in new territories as a hail mary for sales in new markets that haven't been penetrated by millenium, ameritox, dominion, or the like.

Holy crap! This place is in shambles. They used to have happy employees that wanted to stay there...now it doesn't even look like they can hang onto their worst reps. Certainly not the good old days at AIT. Are they still paying Sarah to fly around the country and do nothing?

What is the pay range here? What's a true obtainable bonus? I see a great deal of pain on this site but I need to get out of the pod zombies of big pharma!

Base: 55-60K
commission: based on territory performance
car allowance: zero! Paid per mile, no gas card, pay your own insurance.
Medical/Dental: pricey
401k: OK with company match. ESOP: worthless!

Stick with pod zombies!

Anybody would be foolish to even think of working at this mess of a company. There isn't a single person who knows what is going on. If you want piss poor management, lousy pay, no commission, terrible benefits, no car allowance, and a product that sucks then you should absolutely work for AIT Labs.

Wait until new bonus structure takes place and the money dries up. It will really hurt the individuals who only sell to addiction. Those fancy Senior Account Executive titles will not help you now.

No. LOL. Pretty much spot on. I disagree about the product though. Pretty good. They sell urine the way it should be, not like Ameritox and the joke of RXGuardian...decent test selection, could be better though.

In reality and based on your experience, have any of your physician clients EVER kicked a patient out of their practice because of non-compliance? I seriously question if all of this testing really changes how the docs practice and treat patients.

thanks for good info! A few quick followups:

what is average or realistic commission?

no gas card, but do they reimburse you for fuel or is that part of the "paid by mile" calculation? I am guessing 56 cents a mile or so?

do you have counterparts? I would take a pay cut to not have to deal with pod zombies

thanks!

LB is one of the last of the original AIT employees. The rest have either left, been asked to leave, or have been told to leave. This group of deranged individuals thought they could run a company. They actually did just that except they ran it into the ground. They were/are all inexperienced, egotistical, and immature. LB has survived do to maternity leave but will soon face the same fate as the rest of the original crew.

So, you are willing to give up the pharmaceutical handcuffs? Medical/Dental is expensive. Ait does not pay for phone or internet

car allowance, gas, insurance, and maintenance is all part of the .56 per mile. Its not really worth it!

No counterparts!

Most likely, the territory you are interviewing for does NOT have managed care coverage. When your commission is based on revenue( received vs billed), you are not going to make any money.
They are tracking your mileage on company phone, so all the pharma talk about big brother is true. No tracking devices on your car though.
Decision is yours!

Actually, you're incorrect on so many levels... More specifically, we aren't tracking mileage by cell phone, we're tracking it by the microchip in your neck and have your car bugged.
