I agree especially this new test abbott have. It only being produced for USA and the rest of the world can gfy
Abbott only provide health care products for money they have 4000 employees in Ireland and not a thought given to them. We have engineers in Clonmel and operators who could make ventilators or test swabs could easily produce 50000 of these in 2 weeks. I'd go to work for free to help out in emergency. We could easily make 3d glasses and masks for hospital staff. Abbott have the resources to do this but it will be left to small companies to save Europe.
The truth is Abbott don't care the Ida gave abbott 50 million in 2017 maybe we as a country should demand the pay cooperation tax in Clonmel alone that would amount to half a billion in last year alone. That would go along way to sorting out alot of problems in Ireland.
 






Yeah they have paid zero cooperation tax in Ireland it is well known they come under the heading double Irish. The pay all tax through Bermuda effectivly paying zero cooperation tax worldwide the EU should really look into abbott in Ireland like they did with apple. Its effective a freebie for them the workers actually pay more tax through salary than the company. Your a hundred per cent correct the Irish government constantly gives them money to secure employment it should be illegal but look thats why we have a job. I'm sure it not just abbott though it's probably all medical device and pharma multinationals. They should pay cooperation tax on all manufacturering goods that were made in Ireland, its a bit like if you make cheese and sell it to China the profits should be open to tax. Abbott haven't paid fair share since they came to Ireland yet a local distributor in town is taxed 12.5% and ordinary factory workers pay 30 to 40% tax in terms of income prsi, car, house and vat on esb, petrol, oil, drink etc. Good point...

That's the only reason why they are in clonmel. If they have to pay tax they will leave.
Apple will do the same that's why the government have not touched the money Apple were forced to pay. The majority of Americans company in Ireland don't pay tax. It's probably why Trump didn't move them back to the USA like he said he would.

I hope nobody dies or gets sick but with regards them moving to a 3rd world country. I really hope they move the whole lot out and they can take management with them their decisions have put us all at risk for nothing. Using bully boy tactics against temps. Horrible and nasty people think their important just because of a job title. No better than a piece of shit.

That place will never go its making too much money. They have a cheap workforce why would they leave.

They have a great excuse for next year's bonus already.
