Since when has anyone who stuck up for themselves had positive feed back.
Abbott have 100% control over it's workers and don't care. People are always looking for work so Abbott employees are replaceable and that's it.

It's a shocking decision by our employers. Built as if intended for my family but my family thinks I'm putting their health at a bigger risk now by going in. I actually have no other alternative but to resign. I can't risk my family or my own health. Time to cut ties I won't be used like this anyway.

Government decision actually and my company (not too far away!) doing the same. If you don't want to go to work then don't. I will be personally.
 






Would people stop always using the same old statement the Unions have closed more companies in the past ten years than anyone else. This is propaganda used by companies to stop their employees joining them. That's the same as Abbott telling you the reward good workers and loyal staff and the hire new workers on more money than anyone else. The promote who they want, give EE to a very small number of staff and the rest get very little and some get nothing even though they have worked the year. Then they tell you they track the cost of living. They never tell you about making you pay for your VHI and then your pension. Always telling you if you don't agree the place will shut. This threat is constant always over us. Managers using threats to keep employees in their place and them in their well paid jobs. Remember their more afraid of losing their well paid jobs than you are.
 






Heard about the coronavirus sh*t talk going on here inside on Wednesday. Pathetic. My sister down in CUH dealing with the stuff on 12-hour shifts lads, that's someone who has something to worry about. Not wasters who whinge about working in an air conditioned clean room. There's plenty other things to really get our backs up in Abbott but not this. ye have no idea what the real world is like...if ye don't like it leave. we've enough to deal with without yeer crying. never been on this thing before and never gonna come back...had to say something

Thanks to all working on the front line. They are very brave going in everyday not knowing what they have been breathing in.

Your sister alongside everyone else are very lucky to have proper PPE. We in Abbott don't have PPE. We don't have air conditioning
It's circulated air.

It's all great in Abbott until someone brings it home. That's the worry that so many of us have. A lot of us have old parents that we look after that's what we have to deal with along with sick children that if it's passed onto them they will die as the don't have the immune system to survive.
 






This thread should be taken down as it goes against the fundamentals of the cafepharma site. It's supposed to be a whistle-blower site for trade secrets out of different divisions. I don't see any other manufacturering site whinging about the company on here only Clonmel so I would ask the moderator to consider removing the thread alot of the stuff is embarrassing to alot of workers in the plant. This could cost us our jobs or future projects within the division these are not the views of at least 95% working in the factory actually most normal people are appauled and shocked but it is free speech but we have that in work so I would ask the moderator to remove the thread for good. Also alot of ex employees use the site to target individuals which is unacceptable so please take it down.

Whinge??? When our company can’t follow simple government guidelines and give us 2 meters space between us to prevent us and our family from dying??? Whinge?? Your sister has top notch PPE we have very little!!! Air conditioned??? I know enough about the world to know Abbott cares about money more than anything else!!!! Crying??? Yeah we will be when our families die after catching the virus in Abbott!!!!!
