abbott diabetics

Sheer boredom before going with another company that pays more. You’ll learn a lot, but this gig is only going so far. The OTC versions are coming, ours included. Commodity market like android vs iOS. Which one are we?!? Might be an interview question so be prepared!

How was your severance package when ADC cut you?

Is Abbott a good place for older Americans? Read about the lawsuit from a few years ago. Any intel on whether the culture has changed? I'm interviewing and want to make an informed decision.

Well, I know folks who like Dex more than ADC and vice versa. Both products are selling well, at least patients have a choice. ADC sells more product because of the Libre price point. Better than finger sticks.
Libre is so incredibly inaccurate & untrustworthy, I’d rather stick my fingers & get an accurate blood sugar reading.

Not true. Testing shows that is fairly accurate on the average. CGMs which use interstitial fluid to measure glucose levels will never be as accurate as measuring levels from blood (as meters do). But, as I said, CGMs take lots of data and on the average the reads are correct. Often, in this data, you get outliers. This is why Abbott and Dexcom will say take a meter reading if you are in doubt or see a reading that does not look correct.

come on man…… the fact that you’re using words like “fairly” and “average” to overcompensate for Libre accuracy screams bogus!
