Detroit area here. Had intvw with Q recruiting manager yesterday, called today to have 2 f2f intvws back to back with 2 different DMs, I was told there are 3 candidates for 2 positions which I felt great about but after reading all this it seems as though no one is getting any offers? Pharma sales is not rocket science. I am gearing up for my intvws tomorrow and going balls to the wall, leave it all out there so I won't have any regrets

Well I got moved along to the next step which happened today with 2 back to back interviews with the hiring manager and another DM. There needs to be a 3rd Janssen manager to intvw, so I was contacted this afternoon and informed I was moving to the 3rd manager interview sometime tomorrow...following which offer should happen early next week according to the field sales manager from quintiles. I was told they want to get everyone in the fold by Labor Day if they can

I know that I am one of two going to the next interviews. I found out last week that I was moving forward. Dont know when the second iv's are. I would assume sometime soon as the JOB starts mid Sept. I would also assume since there are only 2 moving forward that this is the final stage.

If you are moving forward, get ready to nail the next interview if it is the scheduled interview with 3 D.M's from J &J...Best of luck to you and kick some ass....I completed the "panel" interviews, now waiting like a nerd by the phone, waiting for the prom date to call...

Bottom line: Nail it. You get one shot to do it in a three hour window of opportunity.

If no offers are going out yet, it could be that they are waiting for Nucynta ER to be approved by the FDA. That should happen this week, I believe. If ER is not approved, I wouldn't be surprised to see Janssen expansion plans scaled back dramatically.

N-ER got approved Friday.

The real push for more bodies is expected in Nov., if the new anticoagulant gets approved for a new indication.

It pains me to read how over-analytical Janssen is being in the interview process. They are acting like they're screening to hire new Janssen (J&J) reps, not just "temporary help."

This is just one more brick in the wall that the industry has jumped the tracks (not that we don't already have plenty of evidence of that.)

They are screening to hire new reps for themselves, these are two huge product launches with a lot of money at stake, why wouldn't they want those who fit with their plans? The whole idea that CSOs are "temporary help" is over, the game has changed and we are a bigger part of it. I'm a little tired of those with CSO experience who believe, and this is a direct quote from someone I know from 6122, that "All I have to do is go to an office, be nice and talk to the staff, leave samples and get nice bonus checks." Any of you who aren't willing to prepare for an interview on this type of contract like you're preparing for a direct interview don't deserve the position, the days of letting others do your heavy lifting while you dick around with no responsibility are over.

Hey, at least the guy on 6622 showed up at the office. That is more then I can say for a lot of MAJOR pharma reps.

I just received the reimbursement forms and w-9....I did not have the second set of interviews with Janssen, but was told that I more than likely would. Still have not received a rejection email nor a letter....anyone else been told that they did not get the job?? Just very bizarre process OR they are just overwhelmed with themselves.

Can anyone provide any real information on the "direct" hire role with the Xarelto contract? Have the verbal offer but am amazed that the reason offer letters with salaries, etc. have not gone out. Supposedly, it is that Janssen wants to do a big one time offer to all new hires at the same time. What in the world and why????

Same here. I have no idea why....just waiting for the offer letter.

"What in the world and why????" Because Janssen is paying the bills and they can make whatever decision they want.

I had my first interview with Q manager this week in the New England area and was told they want to have offers out by next week but not sure how that is supposed to happen when they still have to have people meet with Janssen DM+RM.

I was told I am moving forward in the process last week. Met with 3 mgrs plus RD. Still haven't heard anything this week. Anyone else in the same position?

Same situation for me.........just heard from Q dm today that I will be getting verbal/e-mail offer by Friday and paper offer early next week. Start date is still 9/19. Things should start to happen soon for everyone.

I too got the verbal offer but no formal. Was told that they have until 9/5 to make formals> My concern is that is a holiday and today is the last business day...I guess they will call us over the weekend...Training does not start until 9/19.

I was told $650/mth car allowance and gas card where they will take $50 decustion per pay period for personal use.....

Nope, wrong contract. This one is $.555/mile only, sent to you as 1099 income, you buy the car, the gas, the insurance, the maintenance, everything and use your mileage reimbursement to pay for it. You're very welcome.
