6275 tic toc

Yes I was impressed with the salary range. I hope that holds true. My recruiter told me to be mindful that this is not a signed deal yet, and things could change as this is finalized....but hey, that's pharma, right? You're right with the 183 reps, I forgot to subtract the 2 listings for the Sales Directors. I agree that everyone will need to bring their A game. Never assume you have this job....I know for myself, I'm not taking anything for granted. I would just appreciate it if NQ would give consideration to those of us who have been with the company before. It's a tough time out there right now and every edge that we can get will help. If you hear any more solid news please pass along. I'll do the same. Good luck!

I don't think you mentioned whether or not your territory was listed yet. I'm just curious and hopeful that it has been. I know you said you were in the midwest. You don't need to say where, just whether or not you've seen it and applied.

I wasn't with 6275 (was on another contract that ended early) but I can offer you this... I received an update from my recruiter at NQ regarding the Gastro interviews, which have been pushed back to late August. With a decent amount of enthusiasm, she mentioned that there will be several new builds occurring in August, so my advice to those on 6275 who have been left high and dry by former managers (not a group I have high regard for based on their inability or unwillingness to keep their reps informed) is to get yourselves affiliated with an NQ recruiter who will keep you informed.

I freely admit to having been extremely put off by the 6275 situation of being "carried" by NQ, and from reading so many of the past posts with "preferential attitude", but it seems the playing field has finally been leveled with regard to hiring for new business, and for this I am grateful. For those who were not involved in the "it's all about us" mindset, good luck, perhaps we will work together on a future project. Find the name of the recruiter in your area, make yourself known to them, along with a resume and skill set of past experience, and stick with them. They will look out for you, it's in their best interest to do so. Best to you!
Hi there,
Can you tell me how to reach a NQ recruiter. I have been using the internal NQ site to apply - but would love to speak with someone- other than my old manager who is MIA. Many thanks.

Hi there,
Can you tell me how to reach a NQ recruiter. I have been using the internal NQ site to apply - but would love to speak with someone- other than my old manager who is MIA. Many thanks.

I know they are located in Parsippany, so my best advice is to call the company switchboard at 973 247 4500, and ask for the "recruiting department", or the "staff specialists department". They are broken down by geography... North East, South East, etc, but I'm not sure how many there are. If I were you, I'd probably mention you were returning a call and weren't sure of the number... and mention you are former NQ, while using a lot of charm and polite creativity. I'm sure no one would feel comfortable posting their recruiter's specific tel number, so give this a whirl. You're a salesman, right???

Yes my territory is posted, thanks. You did say yours was as well, correct? Hey listen, you had mentioned earlier that the set of dates were the 3rd set you heard. Well I spoke with a DM today who told me the set of dates I was given by the recruiter wasn't exactly accurate. So just and FYI, it doesn't seem as though all the recruiters are sharing the most accurate information.

Yes, my territory came up within the first 10 posted spots, so I had zero stress in that area. Glad to know your territory was posted as well. Incidently, the Gastro interviews will be at approximately the same time as the 6297 interviews. Surprisingly, the pay is basically the same, which is odd considering one is a specialty position. (looks like the days of having a salary in the 70K's (6240) for "Specialty" is over at NQ. I also assumed that 6240 would be the last recently built sales force to receive company cars, but you mentioned this position may have one as well. (Anyone else heard that???)

A colleague of mine from 6240 is still watching, and one of the recruiters mentioned today that there are "tons of jobs", and for her to stay posted. That almost makes me think that there may even be another contract opening up in the very near future. My recruiter mentioned last week that there would be "several new builds" occurring in August, so I think the possibility is strong.

Not that I doubt your shared info at all, but I kinda thought an October start date (I think that's what you were told) sounded too far down the road, based in all other info. Looks like a 7th or 14th of September start date will prove accurate.

Guess we're down to company name, promoted meds, car OR car allowance, and interview schedules, in terms of info needed. If anyone has any of this information from a reliable source, please post!

Reliable source told me:

urology, opthalmic, and derm product

3+ year contract

company car

50+ base

mid-september start

In an "unrelated story" someone told me that NQ was working on an Allergan contract.

Great, glad yours was listed as well. I did hear from the recruiter, the DM I spoke with, and DM's from other projects that NQ has a lot of opportunities that are starting to unfold that look very promising. I hope so! And from other collegues of mine on the 6275 project I was told a mid Sept start date as well. I hope that proves true. Any insight on when this thing is supposed to inked?

Looks like good information... I think it seems to fit with what we've seen/heard so far... thanks to whomever posted. "50K plus" is a little vague to really comment on, (pretty tough to complain at this stage of the game) but a car rather than a car allowance is a big advantage in the dollars and cents area, in my opinion. I know others may feel differently about that, but I think opinions will always vary depending upon current personal vehicle costs, size of territory, etc. Anyway... appreciate the post!

Isn't this contract being billed as Pain/Urology? Product classes don't seem to correspond with that. Anyone hearing anything different? Thanks for sharing.

Originally I had heard Urology/Pain...but now I heard Urology as product 1 and products 2 & 3 have not been identified yet. That poster might have some inside connections that they heard that from but I have not yet heard anthing solid on products 2 & 3 yet.

I actually didn't know one way or the other whether the contract had been signed, accept for the info posted here at cafepharma, so I have to say that unfortunately I don't have anything info to share. Will post if I happen to hear anything.

If anyone happens to have a conversation with their recruiter in the next couple of days, perhaps you could ask the status of 6297 in terms of becoming a signed piece of business.

From the information I am gathering it lools like Product #1 Sanctura XR (uro) and product #2 Restasis (opthalmology)-commercials for this product have been all over the TV and finally I am not sure about product #3 Tazorac OR Botox maybe(Derm products)? We are getting close to cracking the case people!!!!!!!

I have had conversations with a recruiter and a DM and both have told me it's not signed yet, but it's "close"....whatever that means.

Your post made me laugh... "close"... whatever that means. You do have to wonder when you hear something like that. 'Couldn't get everyone scheduled at the same time for signatures' type of "close", or 'we still don't have financial backing' type of "close"??? I guess that's why I don't pay much attention to that end of the business information. I'll let NQ worry about getting the contract signed, then I'll worry about getting to the interview.

I honestly don't know how much, or what, recruiters are privy to when it comes to that level of information, or what the time lag is between a signed contract and an informed recruiter. No disrespect to District Managers, but in my ten years in the industry, there has seldom been anything of great importance shared with DM's.

Just wanted to add a few pieces of info I received in an email today from my recruiter...

3-5 year contract - (from past experience I think you always have to keep in mind that this can end at anytime) 55-60K base, company car was confirmed (excellent!!!), 25% bonus structure.

I have to mention again that oddly enough, the Gastro Specialty is a strict 55K base, 1 year contract, car allowance, and much larger territory. With these two contracts interviewing at essentially the same time, not only is it an easy choice (if, in fact, you were lucky enough to be able to make a choice, ie; receiving an offer from both), it would seem that no one would go the route of the Gastro position. Whomever the company is that is partnering with NQ for this opportunity certainly has NOT made it an attractive position, especially when you consider that it is billed as Specialty. Wow... kinda blows my mind when compared against primary care (6297).

Thanks for the info. Did your recruiter happen to mention if the contract (6297) was signed yet? Does anybody have any concrete info on this contract being signed?

Doubtful it has been signed. A flurry of activity will take place when signed. Until then sit and wait. Novaquest will be like a proud Poppa when it is signed and most that care will know. Think how long this has been in the works.

Does anyone know... have they called anyone to start the interviews for 6297? I know it's probably too early but I am just anxious.

And... has anyone who was 6275, still not been contacted by phone or email from a recruiter? I haven't!
