Not to burst your bubble, but I spoke with a recruiter yesterday and there are only 160 rep spots.

Does anyone know where training will be for the training that might begin 9/7? It doesn't matter I am just wondering. And I see above someone said 200 rep spots and another said 160... can someone confirm the amount of rep spots?
BTW, when I mentioned above that your numbers were correct (exact, as a matter of fact) I meant the numbers you were referring to on the website so far. (31) I believe the contract will be closer to 500 than 200, but I can't call that fact just yet, so I don't want to mislead. I do believe it will be larger than 200. With 19 DM positions listed (figure 10 reps per) that's almost 200 right there. Many DM's are still unlisted. East Coast...
Well I'm glad to see those numbers increased today. I was contacted by a recruiter today and was told around 185 reps. Not sure on the DM numbers, but those definitely increased today as well. The dates I was given were a little different from the above post, but not much. Was told to expect interviews in mid August with spots solidified by mid September for a beginning of October start. Recuriter did not give exact dates but did say another contract is slated to follow in November. Recruiter did mention that neither of these contracts are signed yet but both are very close. I just appreciated hearing from someone on the inside. Was told to expect a call for an interview the first part of August. Seems like things are finally coming together and hopefully this will work out well for all of us. Oh, and I'm from the Midwest.
I guess no one has concrete dates at this point. The set of dates you mention are the 3rd set of dates I've heard so far. Our original email from upper management (this past Friday) said training would begin 9/7. An email from my recruiter today stated start date was to be 9/14, and you referenced an October time frame. I imagine things will be more concrete by interview time. I wasn't aware of another contract coming in November. Is it your understanding that this will be separate from 6297, or more along the lines of a second wave? Good news either way. The Gastro Specialty contract (which has been signed) was pushed from 7/20 to mid August, so that opens another 50 opportunities soon. Would be nice if everyone already affiliated w NQ in one way or another were able to grab a spot. Are you aware of a length of time expected for the 6297 project? I haven't heard anything about contract length, or company, although I think I remember company name being mentioned somewhere in this thread a while back.
I am 6275 and I haven't gotten any email from a recruiter nor a phone call about 6297. I checked the website and my city is still not listed. Anyone else in the same boat??? Have they posted all of 6297's spots yet?
No 6297 spots posted for my entire state. (and it's a big one) Give them time.

Well my recruiter did tell me that once the contract is signed, dates could change and move very quickly so who knows exactly....I do know that we (6275) received an email from upper management today stating that our furlough has been extended from July 31 to August 31 since there were several pieces of business coming. But it also said if we have not been placed in a new position by August 31, that will be our last day. So it would seem to me that they are thinking these spots should be wrapped up by August 31. Now, with the November contract, I understood that to be a seperate contract for 120 reps. As far as a lengh of time for the 6297 project I was just told a long term contract. I was told there would be three products involved. I hope more good news continues to unfold. God knows we all need it right now.
What email from upper management this past Friday, and what email from a recruiter. I'm 6275 and all I've received is a call from a recruiter. She mentioned mid Sept. as most likely start date. Anyway you could post the email from management? I'm not computer savy enough to know if it's possible. Thanks.

Don't know why I always seem to leave at least one question out when I communicate with you, but... have you heard anything about salary? I think the contract will include a car allowance (ugh) instead of a company car (we had one on our last contract, though I shouldn't complain), but I haven't heard salary info yet. Any info on your side?
Yes, I was told 55-60 for the salary range...we didn't speak about a company car, but I too had heard it would be a company car instead of a car allowance. And my recruiter also said it's looking like a pretty long contract. Let's hope!! I'm just concerned about their view on outside candidates. I saw the positions on Monster already this morning. As of this morning there were 185 reps and 19 DM's. If you remember, that 185 number is what my recruiter told me. Do you see those NY and PA cities listed yet? Good luck...hope this starts moving quickly!
Hi... Well, that's better news than I thought regarding salary, and if it's a company car situation, that's excellent. We'll have to wait and see. My eyes have gotten a bit blurry from counting the rep positions listed for 6297, but I thought I counted 183. You've been spot on with the numbers, so... My territory was listed on day one, but the two I'm thinking of that I've seen nothing for are Rochester, NY, and Philadelphia. There are at least 3 spots in Pittsburgh alone, so there's no way they would skip an entire city like Philly.
As far as outside competition for the opportunities... My territory was listed on Monster, career builder, indeed, etc. 5 minutes after it went up on the NQ website on Monday (7/20)
I think you have to believe that any former NQ rep has to have some amount of an edge over an outside candidate, but that you need to prepare as well as you would for any position you might interview for. I also believe it will depend on how well you fit what the DM in that area is looking for. Anyone who goes to the interview with expectations of a job just for showing up will be sadly mistaken, in my opinion. Thanks again for the info...

Yes I was impressed with the salary range. I hope that holds true. My recruiter told me to be mindful that this is not a signed deal yet, and things could change as this is finalized....but hey, that's pharma, right? You're right with the 183 reps, I forgot to subtract the 2 listings for the Sales Directors. I agree that everyone will need to bring their A game. Never assume you have this job....I know for myself, I'm not taking anything for granted. I would just appreciate it if NQ would give consideration to those of us who have been with the company before. It's a tough time out there right now and every edge that we can get will help. If you hear any more solid news please pass along. I'll do the same. Good luck!
