my district, abbott manager is employed, novaquest manager, took another contract like a week after we lost our jobs, district mates, 3 employed including myself, 2 unemployed, the rest no idea, as far as jobs, not much out there, trying hard to get out of this industry,
 






How many were ultimately hired to the Med Device contract? I know that people other than 6275 were hired on to that contract, just wondering how many from 6275 got a position?? Anyone have a guesstimate?
 












Is anybody still in contact with their old NQ manager. Now what? Sit back and wait more with no idea? Are you still getting the old standby "everything is looking positive". I guess most of us have a different definition of "positive".

My sources of info have dried up. My mgr moved to the stent contract, and another mgr left the company. I have no idea what's going on, and can only pray that SOMEONE with NQ DOES know what's going on.
 






My old manager is now on the stent contract as well and he had no guidance for future opportunities for displaced 6275. There was some underlying tones in our conversation that suggest there are some issues with the various new potential contracts.

Not even encouraging words at this point from NQ, so I would definitley be looking real hard for other opportunities.
 






I wasn't with 6275 (was on another contract that ended early) but I can offer you this... I received an update from my recruiter at NQ regarding the Gastro interviews, which have been pushed back to late August. With a decent amount of enthusiasm, she mentioned that there will be several new builds occurring in August, so my advice to those on 6275 who have been left high and dry by former managers (not a group I have high regard for based on their inability or unwillingness to keep their reps informed) is to get yourselves affiliated with an NQ recruiter who will keep you informed.

I freely admit to having been extremely put off by the 6275 situation of being "carried" by NQ, and from reading so many of the past posts with "preferential attitude", but it seems the playing field has finally been leveled with regard to hiring for new business, and for this I am grateful. For those who were not involved in the "it's all about us" mindset, good luck, perhaps we will work together on a future project. Find the name of the recruiter in your area, make yourself known to them, along with a resume and skill set of past experience, and stick with them. They will look out for you, it's in their best interest to do so. Best to you!

I haven't gotten it yet, but my friend did. It doesn't NECESSARILY mean it's over. NQ could extend us again, but it is a bad sign. I can't believe that we haven't gotten some sort of communication from NQ. That's just wrong.

Thanks for this post. I am a 6275 rep and have been very grateful to still be receiving benefits from NQ and have the opportunity to be considered an internal candidate. I have not visited this site in over a month due to the negativity displayed by both 6275 reps and others as well. I decided to check back today since it's been over a month since I heard a word from NQ. As you can imagine, I take everything I read on here with a grain of salt but do appreciate sincere advice like you posted. I do have a question to you. Everytime I've been contacted for a NQ position, it has been by the DM. How should I go about finding the recruiter for my area? Thanks for your help!

Glad you found it helpful! Can't believe I'm about to give this information away, but 6297 has been approved and postings are going up as I write this. We were informed (6240) on Friday. Get your ass over to the website to apply. There will obviously be competition for these positions... it's no longer slated for any particular sales force, so bring your A game and let's get reemployed!

Hi thanks for the info...I checked for 6297 and the only position I could find in Calif is for the Regional Sales Director. Maybe this is good as they may be recruiting from the top down. And the jobs available to field sales in a couple months???

Yes, I spoke to a DM today and was told to keep my eyes on the website. It's not signed yet but close. Postings were going up all day long. It would be nice to keep this positive info going for all. We all obviously need this no matter what contract we originally came from.

Nothing in my territory yet, but only 31 postings so far. I "heard" a total of 200 to come. Let's hope so. Good luck to you and good luck to all.

Hey Cali,

Looks like the "cat's outta the bag" at this point anyway, so I'll share some of what I know. (The "I've seen it in writing" type of stuff...) First thing... One big difference between our old group and 6275 is the "lingo" used in communication. We never discussed, or even heard of, "signed" or "unsigned contracts". I say that because you mention you heard that this was not "signed". Our communication essentially said all approvals have been met and the project is a "GO". I'm good with that. DM's are to start 8/3 (after selection), rep selection by 8/24, training to begin 9/7. Positions will continue going up, so like I said, stay tuned. Thanks for the reply, more info later... Yup, your numbers are correct. I think 19 are DM spots, some regional, and about 10 rep spots. Guess we're all in this one together, so bring any other info to the table as you hear it. I posted dates in the post above. Where's your general area, I'm East Coast as I mentioned. Guess everyone will be aware now, so good luck with whomever your competition may be... EC

BTW, when I mentioned above that your numbers were correct (exact, as a matter of fact) I meant the numbers you were referring to on the website so far. (31) I believe the contract will be closer to 500 than 200, but I can't call that fact just yet, so I don't want to mislead. I do believe it will be larger than 200. With 19 DM positions listed (figure 10 reps per) that's almost 200 right there. Many DM's are still unlisted. East Coast...
