6275 tic toc

nothing concrete-i just think that they are really close and the hang up is financing which is obviously more difficult to come by, and if you watch the markets can change almost daily (see bear stern, morgan stanley, lehman bro.s AIG ect. ect.). My feeling is if they weren't close it would have already been "adios" but just the fact that they are considering extending our benefits means they MAY be close to a start date. I don't think they're leaving us hanging because they get some kind of joy in it. I think we'll know one way or another in june.-just my opinion.

I too was wondering the same thing about insurance, i called the benefits department and asked them if and when they were going to send info on cobra for 6275 because the end of the month is approaching fast, and she stated, she being the benefits department, they have not been given any word about sending out cobra info to 6275 employees for upper management, she did state however, for a family to be covered under cobra, with the new plan under obama administration, insurance should be 600.00 a month, not $1000.00, anyway it sure would be nice to receive a pleasant email from someone regarding the company, the only thing I can assume, is the contract in question, is with allergan/endo, allergan a urology company, product sanctura, and endo pain company, which just by the way ended their contract they had with ventiv today the 22nd, so maybe after everything settles down with ventiv, they will be in cahoots with innovex, has anyone had any luck of getting interviews for anything, I have a phone screen with amgen next week for the midwest, otherwise things have been pretty slow in the job hunt market

I began job search 30 seconds after hanging up the phone with my Abbott mgr. on Jan. 22. In all this time, I've had 3 pharma, and 2 non-pharma interviews. One was with Publicis, and I discovered after the interview that I was interviewing for a position that never existed. There are simply no opportunities here. That's why I'm so desperate for NQ to come through.

email rumor. Says that NQ is considering extending beneifits for June and we will know for sure next week. The contract in question is still being worked on and the number of reps have not changed. Plus another company may need a 100 person contract but this is just a week old in development. Apparently some idiot forwarded an e-mail to JC about what he said at an Abbott training this past week and he responded with the above info. Of course the forwarded email had it all wrong so JC did set record straight. Please don't disrespect the higher ups by giving them animal names because you never know it just might end up in their inbox idiot! I will have to say all of this could have been avoided if we were at least given status updates formally through a simple email even if it is as simple as no new news. It only takes 2 seconds to send such an e-mail.

at least you have had some interviews, post 222, i have been on one interview and that was back in jan-another pharma company- the only jobs that are posted for my area-hell i make more from unemployment then they are willing to pay, it is pretty bleak out there, i sure do hope nq comes through, my luck though, when and if contract is signed, i'll have one of the territories where a rep is not needed at this time, well good luck to everyone

Ive had 2 pharma interviews for jobs that paid 20% less than I was making with NQ and I had taken a pay cut with NQ. I am hoping and praying JC and NQ will come through for us. I do know if we go back soon I will not complain about one thing (I am not a big complainer anyway) and will do everything in my power to give'em numbers. I have literally applied to nearly 70 jobs = 2 IV's.

echo what everyone has said-sounds like we have all had the same experiences. the job market is brutal-but it's been that way more or less in this industry since the 90's. I learned when I was layed off the first time in '95-even when you're employed-never ever stop looking.

We would have to hear something this week. They have to tell us whether or not if our benefits would be ending and send us new cobra information.

Cobra agreements came out well after the fact when 6240 was terminated. You're grabbing at straws. Cobra is backdated when you subscribe to coverage. Have some patients.

well at least that is some news, regarding keeping us on for health insurance for 2 months, you figure that has to be around $150,000 a month to insure us all, just spoke to my abbott manager, said he was contacted again, june 15th is when positions are suppose to open up

I do admit that it is a bit confusing when we get an email stating that ~85% of us will have jobs and then you read the rest of this thread with non 6275 people yelling at us when we "dare say things like that".

-Ready to Work

when u say abbott manager, is the former abbott manager applying for the NQ DM 6297 position or is NQ and Abbott in discussioin with V/CR?

At this point I think it's perfectly reasonable to assume that a great percentage of you will have jobs when these contracts come to fruition. Between Gastro, Psych, Urology, PC, etc. there are a good number of positions available, and probably not as many former reps waiting around any longer. I think the only reason you got "yelled at" in the past (months ago) was because it often came across as if 6275 would be placed ahead of everyone else in the pecking order for positions. If all these contracts get going there should be enough spots for everyone waiting in the wings.
