60 Minutes

SubPrime mortgage fiasco was a TOTAL product government. Go research and learn before you open your fucking retarded mouth. It is as if you have no grasp of reality or knowledge of events.

I am ALL for letting failures fail and am against government propping up failures.

when a government is being run by big banks and corporations, you will see such games played out like those during 2008-2009.

this is one of the reasons to avoid an over-concentration and centralization of power and devolve more powers to community, local levels.

take the national budget and divide it up by some allocation factor(s) (population density, resource (un)availability, ...) and distribute amongst more localized power structures for the management of operations and projects that benefit their own communities and help, if needed, those around them. communities may also form together to pool budgets and resources. i could go on with this, but it's kind of late.

Is it immoral when a sick person loses their house because government demands that people pay their taxes? You fucking libs are so retarded.

The ONLY things worth a shit in this world are FOR-PROFIT. With few exceptions, Government run anything is shit. Government destroys anything and everything it touches. It will bankrupt it. It will create a shortage. Then it will ration it. Whatever it is. It is like you morons are COMPLETELY oblivious to the lessons of history.

Let's use Denmark as an example: (1) health care is free, (2) higher education is free, (3) minimum wage is 2X than US, (4) quality of life surveys for the Danish score 4X than US citizens! So your argument is truly stupid and your language is indicative of an uneducated tea bagger! Grow up!

"Free"... Come on man. When will you silly little liberal, intellectual midgets get it? NOTHING is "FREE". Your logic is indicative of a 4-year old.

FACTS are FACTS!! The Danes have a great quality of life and they won't file bankruptcy just because they got sick! You must be one of those tea baggers who are gun-toting racists!

The hard core "liberal hating" folks who post here are unable to process anything that has not been spit out by fox news. They will never see anything positive about the rest of the world, but are the first in line to become ex-pats to another country so they can own slaves and bitch about their pitiful lives. Thank god the majority of the country are hard working realists who just want a good life, and do not begrudge anyone else who wants the same.

Facts are facts.... and nothing is "free". Find me a place where slavery exists and that's "free". Are you advocating slavery?

Lib-tards never debate people and relevant topics. They create straw-men, like bringing up Fox News, then argue amongst themselves. Thank God for the hardworking, they are paying for all those "Free" things.

Yeah like gleevec invented by someone else that Novartis fleeces patients/tax payers/insurance co's to the tune of $35 billion & counting while it's 50x cheaper in India. A country that understands bogus ever greening tactics. You learn em sport, learn them good!

At 60.2%, Denmark last year had the highest top personal income tax rate among the 34 countries in the OECD, an organization of developed and emerging countries. And that 60.2% applied to income over roughly $55,000.

Man... Who knew "Free" could be so expensive?!?

M/F'er move to India..... Please!
Since "Fleecing" bothers you so much, this must REALLY BOTHER YOU.

Unnecessary government programs are costing taxpayers tens of billions of dollars annually, a new government study found.

The study, issued Tuesday by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) following a three-year investigation, found 31 new areas of redundant or wasteful spending. Added to the findings of similar reports issued in 2011 and 2012, the study brings the total areas of duplicative spending to more than 160, according to the report.

YAWN! Goebbels. Maybe if douchbagz like NVS wouldn't run to the govt with frivolous lawsuits cause they can't handle big bad Dr Reddy's competition, the govt. wouldn't waste $$$. Besides hundreds of billions will be wasted by medicare part D because of the pharma lobby & their $100 million lobbying effort but I bet that waste doesn't bother you right? Asshole

So government run medicare wouldn't waste money, if government wasn't vulnerable to the pharma lobby? Hmmm..... that makes sense. And you, who acts as a propagandist for government, has the nerve and stupidity to call someone Goebbels.

Let me quick educate you with this brief synopsis that perhaps even you can understand:
Paul Joseph Goebbels (October 1897 – 1 May 1945) was a German politician and Reich Minister of Propaganda in Nazi Germany from 1933 to 1945.

The high cost of the health care system is considered to be a deficit, but it seems to be tolerated under the assumption that better health results from more expensive care.

However, evidence from a few studies indicates that as many as 20% to 30% of patients receive inappropriate care.

An estimated 44,000 to 98,000 among these patients die each year as a result of medical errors.

This might be tolerable if it resulted in better health, but does it?

Out of 13 countries in a recent comparison, the United States ranks an average of 12th (second from the bottom) for 16 available health indicators.

More specifically, the ranking of the U.S. on several indicators was:

13th (last) for low-birth-weight percentages
13th for neonatal mortality and infant mortality overall
11th for post-neonatal mortality
13th for years of potential life lost (excluding external causes)
11th for life expectancy, at 1 year for females, 12th for males
10th for life expectancy, at 15 years for females, 12th for males
10th for life expectancy, at 40 years for females, 9th for males
7th for life expectancy, at 65 years for females, 7th for males
3rd for life expectancy, at 80 years for females, 3rd for males
The poor performance of the U.S. was recently confirmed by a World Health Organization study which used different data and ranked the United States as 15th among 25 industrialized countries.

It has been known that drugs are the fourth leading cause of death in the U.S.

This makes it clear that the more frightening number is that doctors are the third leading cause of death in this country, killing nearly a quarter million people a year.

Oh my God, how many times to we have to address this propaganda. Yes, when you compare healthy people, who live healthy lifestyles to less healthy people... The healthy tend to live longer, healthier lives and generally require less medical attention, which means fewer medical bills and less healthcare costs generally. To then extrapolate those facts and believe that is has a direct correlation with a particular healthcare system is COMPLETE FOLLY.
