You all do realize they are planning a price increase of Ofirmev in January don't you? This will completely destroy everything. Honestly, I can't believe how this company is led by such idiots. They are just fueling Hillary Clinton's rampage on the industry. The price increases of Acthar are disgusting and Mallinckrodt is now looked at as the greediest company in the United States.

A new product would ultimately be the worst nightmare. Every pharmacy has sworn they will do everything in their power to stop any kind of use and formulary will be out of the question. I guess they don't realize that it now has become a vendetta against Mallinckrodt.
 












I have heard that rumor too. Hopefully it is just a rumor. With the whole Acthar price debacle, you would think they would rethink this. Minimally there should be a price freeze for all of 2016 or this company is toast. Mallinckrodt is now only known only for their high prices.
 






MM stated in his last teleconference that a price increase is on the table. It would probably be in line with normal yearly price increases. From my experience it has always been a 6-12% yearly increase with hospital meds.
If that holds true, that means 40-100 per case increase depending on how much they currently pay. If they pay 825 and say split it at 8%- that 825 is now around 885. Doesn't sound like a fun item to explain.
We are still getting beat up from last increase.

Exactly! I spoke to a close friend that was a business analyst for Sanofi both in North America and oversees and has stayed up on all the mistakes Mallinckrodt has done and he said if there is an additional price increase, it will completely etiolate OFIRMEV. I have already been advised that I have stayed too long as this is ruining my job reputation. One of the biggest reasons for the stock loss is the crazy pricing around Acthar. There are so many hospitals right now just a hiccup away from pulling the drug completely. Literally! I have two hospitals now just ready to pull. If they touch OFIRMEV and increase it to even one penny, game is completely over. They will have not seen such as wrath and complete destruction of business like none before. They would be better off eliminating employee positions than to do that. Also, no one will want to show their faces in front of customers.

Ok, anyone buy into the town hall meeting CC today. Seems that they are pretty much saying a product is locked up for HSS, and the company is committed to the hospital.
I would assume the company has so many challenges that a buyout is off the table. They probably have to do the best for the team now because there is no other choice.

it doesn't take away from the fact that Acetaminophen is Tylenol. Ask your doctors/nurses/CRNA's what Ofirmev is and they will tell you IV Tylenol. Id say ask the people who are using it but there aren't any, its to expensive. hahahahaha

Yes, for one last time. The company sucks, the leaders suck, the price increase sucks. The product however is great and is not Oral Tylenol. If you don't know the difference then you are stupid. Even more stupid if you accepted the job and would have apparently researched the drug beforehand. So if you truly believe that Iv Acetaminophen is the same as oral than you are a dumbass for taking the job initially. Look, the party is over. The money is over. It was a decent ride up to about 1.5 years ago, but now it is over.
