I remember getting the call in 2010 about the Lie Vest...and my thought was: what the F kind of product is this? And worse, I have to call on my trusted cardiologists with this piece of sh9t. No way I would do it, because I know I would get laughed out of the building.
I recall the recruiter was convinced on this, that it was going to take off.
Here is something you ALWAYS have to remember on a job search: the BEST jobs are the ones that are no advertised!
Second, when a recruiter calls you, you better do your research, because you know they don't give a sh5t about anything but getting bodies in front of management.
Finally, I think one poster here put it so correctly: don't be naïve and do your research before making any kind of jump. My advice to the younger generation is to find a place where the people are generally happy and proud to be working there. Also, when you consider the bonus, subtract about 50% from what they say the bonus will be. So, if they say you can make 10k bonus for the quarter, it is really closer to 5k, and many times, less.
Nobody in sales walks on water for at least 1-2 years to get a territory going. So, also look at turnover rates, and always ask why the previous rep. left. So many time, managers (I found out later) have lied about this. And I automatically know to never trust those fools.
Knowledge is power, remember that and you will be find. Cafepharma is a gem. So is Glassdoor employee reviews and Indeed employee reviews...but Cafepharma is the pure nuts because it is about 99% accurate!
