Culture at Eli Lilly

Culture at Lilly

You’ll be fine if you’re a hard worker, honest, female, <30yrs..good chance at advancement

You’ll be terrific if you’re a hard worker, honest, female, <30yrs, and a minority…. Excellent chance at advancement

Don’t believe me, take a look at the leadership org charts.
And don’t forget to CYA every single day. There are a line of people looking to put you in the toaster at any second. The gossip and back-stabbing is relentless. Watch the power hungry at meetings. You’ll spot them hovering and fighting for seats with the management. It’s hilariously sad.

If Lilly followed the Indiana Governor’s lead, it might be hitting its sales goals!

Todays Executive Order from the Governor:

Replacing DEI in Government with MEI: Merit, Excellence, and Innovation: Direct agencies to examine policies and procedures to ensure compliance with recent Supreme Court ruling, closes Chief Equity Inclusion and Opportunity Office.

The Governor of Indiana signed this Executive Order today. If Lilly did the same, you could focus on hitting your sales targets!

Give it a rest, willya? We've got the softest, whiniest "men" working here. No doubt about it! We are getting our ass handed to us by Novo, and every few days, this buttercup comes on here whining about the same thing. Blah blah blah DEI.

yeah big city crime gets the press and the south/west sides of chicago are a hot mess. but it is fact that of the top 10 states for murder rate only 2 are blue (illinois & maryland), of the bottom 10 states only 3 are red (iowa idaho & utah). you may see lots of homeless people in NYC & SF but your life is not in danger, grow a pair
“Your life is not in danger.”

Great video about the Blue Angels, and it was very obvious watching it that “Merit, capability & aptitude” are far more to them than “Diversity, equity & inclusion”.

"Merit, capability & aptitude" are essential and important. Unfortunately, many believe that no one other than a white male has merit, capability and aptitude, so when they see someone different in a position they scream DEI.

It’s also VERY obvious when someone got where he/she is because of DEI, so either you are glib as hell, are dumber than -well- a DEI hire.

What's obvious can be said stated about many situations. Yes, there are bad "DEI" hires, but there are also bad "Merit" hires as well. Just because someone is qualified doesn't mean they're the best person for the job. Qualified people can still make mistakes.
What's historically obvious is that "bias" is human nature and it occurs in the workplace. We hire who we like, feel comfortable with and also meets the minimum qualifications. Unfortunately, meeting the minimum qualifications was optional in the "not so distant" past, hence the need for job qualification postings and HR review of hiring decisions now. When you have the majority of hiring positions filled by one sex, of one race, bias has a tendency to occur. People hire who they feel comfortable with first, then they determine if they are also qualified (ie. this is how Trump selects his downline/Cabinet, or think "Good Ol boys"). This is how we historically ended up with only white men in board rooms in the past. One of DEI's purposes was to challenge this natural tendency of bias by pushing the hiring manager to look past their bias and build a team of qualified but different/diverse individuals.

Now look at middle and upper management. It's all DEI hires. SR and Rhonda looked like two dumb bitches up there yapping away. Don't even get me started on that other dumb bitch that got hired in 2021. Nobody takes this company seriously anymore.

Shanon and Rhonda looked like two dumb bitches up there yapping away. Don't even get me started on that other dumb bitch that got hired in 2021. Yap Yap Yap.
There appears to be an "over correction" that has led to many positions of leadership being filled by women. I believe WILL has fulfilled it's charter and purpose here at Lilly. Women, especially white ones, benefitted the most from DEI initiatives. And I agree, AJ (2021) was a disaster.

Not exactly accurate as Shannon R. has truly benefited the most (considering her lofty title & accompanying salary) through DEI initiatives because there is absolutely no chance she would even have been in contention if not for “modern-day, socially accepted racism” in the form of DEI, and everyone knows this is true, so don’t even bother getting defensive about it.

actually watch the full special and you will see women men white black Hispanic. So if you watched the 10 seconds they played I’m sure you saw the White male specimen and assumed they only have White Males. Aka the only people capable of such roles in your opinion or racist sexiest smear. I agree we ARE WAY TOO HEAVY WITH FEMALE LEADERSHIP but stop assuming everyone is incapable.

the problem with Lilly is that they took DEI and involvement in any related activity as a reason for promotion. THAT WAS THE ISSUE!

We all need to be PISSED OFF AT THE SHITTY PAY AND BONUSES OR LACK THERE OF IN CMH CONSIDERING WHAT THIS PRODUCT IS DELIVERING ON FOR THE COMPANY! HISTORICALLY THIS COMPANY ACKNOWLEDGES THEIR MISTAKES AND CORRECTS THEM BUT GOING ON 3 YEARS BUSTING OUR ASSES WITH THEIR CRAZY EXPERIMENTS LIKE DT. JUST LIKE DEI THEY ALIGN TO THINGS LIKE ITS THE BIBLE THEN WE PAY THE PRICE. IF YOUR YOUNG THIS IS NOT THE LILLY OF EVEN 10 YEARS AGO GET EXPERIENCE AND GO WHERE YOU MIGHT BE MORE APPRECIATED FOR THE ROLE YOU PLAY

AND HERES A QUESTION how is it that the sales reps can’t even hit 100% to goal with this med that the company keeps blowing out. MY OWN PHYSICIANS UTILIZING THE VIALS FOR THEMSELVES DUE TO COVERAGE ISSUES AND WE GET NO CREDIT!!!!! BULLSHIT!
