Culture at Eli Lilly

AND HERES A QUESTION how is it that the sales reps can’t even hit 100% to goal with this med that the company keeps blowing out. MY OWN PHYSICIANS UTILIZING THE VIALS FOR THEMSELVES DUE TO COVERAGE ISSUES AND WE GET NO CREDIT!!!!! BULLSHIT!
If you look at the fact that they stated we have something like 28 mil patients covered through employers for Zep and SR is asking why not all those people are on Zep?.. lol May be for starters cause not all of the covered employees are overweight or need to lose weight?... Just this example shows how unrealistic their expectations and goals are. No wonder we can't reach them. Trying to run business like amazon?? Amazon doesn't bank on people's health and lives, however has a notoriously terrible overworked culture. That's what we have ahead of us.

Shannon and Rhonda's "inspirational" messages could not be more disconnected. Even Patrick's personal example, while compelling, was out of place given that this company is ditching support and supplies for insulin patients, forcing them on insulin pens, so Lilly can redirect more vials to most profit-generating weight loss products, while having us now dictate to doctors when to initiate MJ and Zep... Lilly's profit pursuit has lost touch with humanity. And nothing we say will change that until consumer sentiment turns on the company.

We all need to be PISSED OFF AT THE SHITTY PAY AND BONUSES OR LACK THERE OF IN CMH CONSIDERING WHAT THIS PRODUCT IS DELIVERING ON FOR THE COMPANY! HISTORICALLY THIS COMPANY ACKNOWLEDGES THEIR MISTAKES AND CORRECTS THEM BUT GOING ON 3 YEARS BUSTING OUR ASSES WITH THEIR CRAZY EXPERIMENTS LIKE DT. JUST LIKE DEI THEY ALIGN TO THINGS LIKE ITS THE BIBLE THEN WE PAY THE PRICE. IF YOUR YOUNG THIS IS NOT THE LILLY OF EVEN 10 YEARS AGO GET EXPERIENCE AND GO WHERE YOU MIGHT BE MORE APPRECIATED FOR THE ROLE YOU PLAY
I agree. Lilly has transformed into a monster of a company. It's a shit show.

Well said

I honestly wish all the women at this company would go.back to the kitchen.especially those in management. I had 2 offers when I came to this company a few years ago. I kick myself every day for choosing lilly. Never again. Can't wait to leave. Currently interviewing with real pharma companies who prioritize dei

I'm assuming you meant *who don't prioritize dei* But, yeah, totally agree with everything you said

If you are a white male and you are good at clapping, then this is the place for you. All you will ever get to do is clap while all the blacks and women get up on stage and get recognized and promoted.

In my current region a white mid-age male won rep of the year for last year. In my previous sales sleeve, a white mid-age male won rep of the year 3 times in a row. And we had some very well performing females there. So I have to disagree with you. Out of 2k reps we have here you really have to do something different to stand out.

The first thing that came to mind was, "too big to rig"

Generally, it sucks. If you have a decent AVP and a good BD it makes some difference. The micromanagement is on another level altogether here. Company culture is in the crapper for the most part. If you could speak with some honest reps they’d tell you they hate it here. Particularly in the CMH division. It’s bad, bad, bad.

What's so bad about it? Best medication in T2D & Weight Loss and soaring stock price...it's got to be great, right?

It certainly should be great. We have -not one, but two best-in-class medications with superior clinical data, and most HCPs consider Mounjaro & Zepbound to be the most efficacious, the best tolerated, and the preferred option in the GLP-1 space, so how could it possibly not be the ideal situation? I mean, with all these advantages, Lilly leadership would have to be so incredibly abysmal, incompetent, and metrically micromanage every single aspect of our work & personal lives to the point where the entire salesforce is demotivated, demoralized, suffocated, and emotionally/psychologically fractured. You wouldn't think this could be possible, but Lilly has made this our reality.

Brilliantly stated. Lilly knows how to f%&K up a wet dream.

Very well said. I vote for you to be a future manager. Oh wait, you have too much common sense for Lilly. Lilly has poor leadership, poor policies, poor promotion and recognition processes, poor pay, poor metrics, poor requirements through DT, and let's not forget Lilly will micromanage the living hell out of you even if you have 20 years experience, which I do

Spot on summary of the current situation at Lilly. And here’s another reality…THEY DON’T CARE. No matter how bad morale is, nothing will change. These leaders don’t give one flying F:(K about anything but the almighty dollar.
