It's amazing how these people don't understand that bitching about DEI is like putting a billboard saying "I'M RACIST" on their forehead... I don't really like Dez, but to assume he was a DEI hire is laughable. It's like these people who whine about DEI think that anyone who isn't white is automatically a DEI hire. The dude has like decades of exec experience at MICROSOFT and GSK. These morons choose to leave that part out.... because "He'S bLaCk!!!." I heard some of the most racist shit at the NSM this month, so I'm not surprised that people like this are among us.

DEI causes people to suspect the promotion of ‘disadvantaged groups’ because it created an unjustified promotional system based on everything but merit. By destroying DEl people of all races, genders, and sexual orientation can compete based on merit. If someone truly is a bigot of some sort and hire based on things other than merit then they will suffer from poor performance.

If our society is so racist then why do minorities get drafted into the NBA or NFL at such a high rate…It’s because it’s based on merit! Owners and coaches don’t give a damn about race or sexual orientation. Wouldn’t it be stupid if asian guys or white guys started whining that there should be more of them on the rosters even though they haven’t earned it.

I truly think we all know there’s not that many bigots in our country and for the ones who are it hurts them most. Let them suffer from being small minded. Lastly, let the DEI crowd quit taking advantage of a system that is racist at its core. How can our society minimize bigotry if we support a system like DEI???

You moron their are 9 black head coaches out of 32. That comes out to 31% of coaches are black. Black men make up 7% of the population. Seems like the NFL is doing very well clown.

Let me guess - your hiring was 100% meritorious, correct?
You didn't follow a former manager or colleague over, right?
That never happens. You never see large groups of people move from company to company in this industry, do you?
You never see a regional manager reconstitute the same group of cronies over and over again, do you?
I'm sure it is only because they have the top talent in the industry and it has nothing to do with familiarity, comfort, and looking after your drinking buddies.
This industry ditched merit based hiring twenty years ago & even people as delusional as you can't deny it.
If it was truly merit based, Duane would be on rag duty at a car wash. Everyone in senior management who touched Leqvio would be there with him (can't help but notice everyone ignored that when it was posted earlier).
Its not like that, and it never will be.
When you are willing to call out the ugly nepotism that destroyed this industry (and killed meritocracy in the process), then you can regale us on the perils of diversity.

What’s keeping the black man or woman from being a GM or Owner? Please don’t say racism because that’s not it. There’s many black coaches and there will be more black owners once teams are available for sale and there’s a good candidate willing to risk the money.
