Labcorp mangement

Does anybody in upper management have the first clue on what goes on in the field or the real world? I wouldn't trust any of the goofballs to sell a bone to my neighbors dog let alone sell a valued client. Whoever changed the comp plans and implemented a hiring freeze and created all this busy work with spreadsheets, satellite, crm campaigns, pecos, clearly has no clue that there is only about 5 minutes left in a day to sell. And if you are lucky enough to actually meet goal when you can sell you will get paid less than the previous year.. Makes sense! Way to value your employees. Start looking people, the nickel and diming on pay and admin work paralysis has set in and is here to stay!

Yes, management sucks! They hire incompetent people who will cover for them. The Bullshit comes from the Sales Officer in your region. Shit falls from the top. Email DK! DK would like to know what is falling in your region.

DK a smuck! He is just like the folks you speak of! That is why they get away with it.

They're are clear as day to see. They are in the position for a reason. Probably because they will do what they are told and intimidated and managed by fear as well. It's the entire culture, not just one person. If an outside consulting firm came in they would probably eliminate these types of people immediately and labcorp would be so much better off.

You are right about the 'fear and intimidation' management style of Labcorp. I have thought that for years. Not only that, but the company as a whole puts so much emphasis on procedures and documentation, which in the long run usually does nothing to increase productivity or job efficiency. It is almost like they put more emphasis on employees jumping through all of the hoops than they do on actually accomplishing whatever objective they started out trying to meet.

Yeah, the place really needs a top to bottom enema. Starting at the top.

LOL outside of Burlington most Lab Corp offices not PSC's look like they are in a time warp inside. The bathrooms, floors, offices, paint ect are from like another century almost like city hall in some urban area.

I couldn't agree more. They definitly put more emphasis on paperwork and forms rather than the end goal. A managers job is to put people in the best possible position to succeed and remove barriers in the background to do so. the quality and service is terrible because the opposite occurs. Everybody rushes to complete tasks made up by some nerd in a cubicle to just get people off their back and don't care about the end goal or quality. Terrible culture at labcorp. Everybody thinks they are a manager at labcorp and they are all the same mold. Maybe the "bobs" can come in from the movie office space, lol

Labcorp offices are filthy and everybody that works there looks haggard and worn out.

Yeah, I love how the company is pushing the no tobacoo policy. But their management style, which is as touchy-feely as a prison work camp, pushes people who haven't smoked for years (me) back to smoking. Way to go Labcrap.

Even I think Labcorp's management is not very well organized or trained. But, you can't blame them for picking smoking back up even though they keep giving us more and more to do for less money.. Get into yoga or exercise!

Just like everything else here. push something hard for a couple weeks and then it will be a new initiative to focus on. the previous most important task of the century, will all of a sudden be unimportant. the only reason this company survives is because they nickel and dime everything and everybody else in the organization, leaving bundles of cash leftover to buy everybody else. none of labcorp's growth comes from organic growth. it is all manufactured and made to appear like some testing capability, and or a manager or sales reps initiative are creating growth. its all managed care driven and anybody that tells you otherwise, is lying.

This is the upper management in the west. These two dames have to hire out to do any serious bidding on contracts, and when they do this they have the lowest life guy who was terminated from LCA with the worst reputation in the business bid for them. They surround themselves with the weakest performers, the "yes" people that are loyal to them but can't bring in sales numbers. They hire sales management with little to no experience, and it shows. But the come with tough talk and attitude and these dames like this because they hide their inadequacies behind tough talk and attitude too. When the employees complain about these new weak manager's instead of mentoring them on the better way to effectively manage, upper management solves the problem by throwing their young weak manager under the bus and tells the employee they now answer to the other regions weak sales manager. It's constant chaos with no real sales numbers coming in. There is still discretionary work out there. You have to work hard and understand how to go after it and know where it's at. But dumb is as dumb does! Stocks up so who gives a shit, abuse away.

Why would anybody want to sell for Labcorp anymore? The reason everybody gets into sales is to make money! This job is turning into an order taker position, not a sales job.

Management is so far removed from the field and manage from the ivory tower. The last time half of these nitwits saw the field was when pagers, pay phones, and mainframe computers were prevalent. Here is a good clip below of management at Labcorp in the home office, just coming across recent technology.

You are an idiot and have no idea what you are talking about. Labcorp does not contract out to him to negotiate contracts for us. The person you are talking about owns a consulting company that certain IPA's hire to negotiates contacts for THEM. There is nothing we can do about that so we have to work with him. It's no big deal. Get you facts straight before you post lies like that.

If our Managed Care Reps would actually get off their fat butts they might have the relationships to get something done and leave that consultant out of the picture. What have they done lately or ever for that matter. Waste of assets for sure.

You are so ignorant about the situation. You're not even worth arguing with.
