Zimmy update

Fashion Statement??? Just punks who want ot look like bad assed gang members. Can't help but think that if you walk around in a bear suit trying to scare people that you might expect ot get shot when someone mistakes ou for a real bear.

Hoodies are mainstream fashion..just like jeans. A hoodie and jeans are practically the uniform worn by public high school kids across the U.S. Take a look at High Schoolers in your area WE...dollars to donuts..90% have that *uniform* on.

Guess I will have to go back and read up on this again...but from my recollection......Zimm was heading BACK to his vehicle when TM approached HIM asking something like what his problem is (something to that effect).........and then that is when TM punched Zimm.......

TM had the opportunity to walk away JUST as much as Zimm did.

BTW...where is all the outrage about that ho Casey A??? She is out roaming the streets now and even has her movie coming out next month...where is the outrage about the money she has raised and continuing to profit from killing her own daughter? And NOW they have dug up new evidence that was hidden away back around the trial time. Coincidence? Doubt it.

If he was headed back to his vehicle that proves he left it. Why did he leave it? To pursue (or stalk) a perfectly innocent teenager whose worst crime that night was wearing a hoodie. Gee, what a threat.

There was plenty of outrage for Casey, still is just like Zimmerman. I wonder if she'll start signing autographs?

And it goes way past teenagers. Take a look at what they sell at Nordstroms - up to $138. Nordstrom's ain't no gangbanger store.

Or hows about that old 'gangbanger' uniform store called Nieman Marcus?

The facts of the case show that Zimmerman profiled, pursued and then shot Martin. The only one who could have legitimately claimed self defense was unarmed and is now dead.

And that psychopathic, heartless bitch Casey Anthony got away with murder. You're right...it's no coincidence that new evidence comes to light rigghht before a movie release.

Current fashion or not--makes no difference. ANYONE, no matter what race or age, wearing a hoodie with their face obscurred, especially if it is not below 40 degrees, will always look suspicious to me. If not a hoodlum, they are stupid for trying to look like a hoodlum and for wearing clothing designed to keep you warm when it is not cold outside. Old fart and proud of it.

When I move to a norther state many years ago, I saw a kid wearing a Cowboy's jacket and told him it was good to see a fellow Cowby's fan. The kid looked at me like I was from the Apha Centauri area. Found out later he was sporting gang attire and I was lucky I didn't get stuck. It is not paranoia if the bastards are really out to get you.

Maybe some people have never heard of stores like JC Penney, Nordstroms or Nieman Marcus? Maybe they don't have them in the south?

It is not naivete think that to dress like something you are not, omthing that could get you mistake for a criminal, gang member, burglar, etc is intelligent--no matter how fucking popular it may be or how much you pad for it or at what store. BLACK is the popular color lately. People are actually stupid enough to dress in all black with black chucks and no relective material or lights and go walking around the streets at night. I guess if I run over one of these idiots, I should be jailed because they wee dressed in fashionable clothing that was purchased at Nordstrom's. Dumb asses.

You are showing your ignorance: Neiman-Marcus was founded and still based in Dallas and JC Penny is now based in Dallas. If you want to slam Southerners, you need to take a different tack.

Hah! How about this? I was born in Virginia, the 2nd set of Southern states to secede. Is that southern enough for you? I've never slammed the South and have relatives in the south today. Maybe you JUST don't recognize sarcasm.

So if you think hoodie's are gang clothes, why not contact those southern merchants who carry the stuff. I mean good grief, they might have shootings oin their stores when partents and young professional men are trying them on for Christmas.

My point was they are no more gang clothes than jeans are. It's a style now and very well established even in fine southern stores like Nieman Marcus. The idea that wearing a hoodie is a legitimate invitation to be shot has to be one of the stupidest ideas I've ever read here on CP. I can't even believe you're in that group.

hmm, I don't see where it is a baggy oversized hoodie pulled up over the guys head obscuring his view.

Or hows about that old 'gangbanger' uniform store called Nieman Marcus?

Again, no covering of a face.

You people are showing your naivete....

Hoodies may be fashionable and trendy, (I do have one from Maui -- it's pink) but when it's paired with pants hanging to the wearer's knees, and completely covering the FRONT of the face and it's about 70 degrees outside, it's making a statement.

http://absurdity981.com/hoodiecoveringf713.php

I just don't get why you two don't see that. So I guess you're always going to defend that way of dressing, and that's your choice, just as it's MY choice to pre-judge someone walking in the dark in my neighborhood with their face completely covered when it's over 70 degrees outside.

I'm so done with this....................

I'm w/ DD. I want to know WHERE it's reported he's bi.

He's never said he's bi. I said there's a really good chance. If a fat old man follows a young guy late at night many thoughts are going through his mind. It isn't like he was wearing a sign saying 'please let's fight.'

I had a guy try that when I was about 19 in college and I have no idea what he wanted but I figured it was one of 2 things - money or sex. I threaded my keys through my fingers and when he got close to me I told him to keep on driving or I would break his neck. I would have fucked up his face with those keys if he got near me. He didn't get out of the car but if he did, I'd have nailed him. What would you do in that situation? I can't imagine you wimping out man.

I think it's reason to call the cops. I don't think it's a reason to follow on foot and then shoot. And if a grown man can't return a punch on a 17 tear old, he shouldn't get himself in that situation. He was a wanna be cop whose daddy is a judge. He never should have left the car after following someone.

Again....from all the reports I have read......Zimm WAS RETURNING to his vehicle...therefore he WAS NOT following the kid at that point....the kid was actually following ZIMM by approaching him and then punching him. TM could have walked away because he WAS NOT being followed.

From all reports? Whose 'reports'? Zimmerman's? LOL! He wouldn't lie would he? Only to a judge at a bail hearing..................

So he was 'returning' to his car? Why was he out of his car? to (fill in the blanks Feebs) __ ______ ______ _______ ___ ___ _____ ______ __ _______ _ ______ ____ __ ____ _________. (to follow Trayon Martin for the dastardly crime of wearing a hoodie like so many teenagers.) Omg! He was wearing a hoodie! Omg, call the cops, no wait - after you call them, shoot even if they say not to follow him.

I don't get how you (and others) can't see that you're stereotyping hoodie wearers. I suppose you think women in short skirts and high heels are asking to be raped, too??

The point here is that that gangly teenager was walking home from a convenience store IN THE RAIN with the hood of his sweatshirt pulled up over his head. Reasonable no? His hoodie was all stretched out because he was wet and he had a big ass can of Arizona Watermelon fruit drink in his pocket weighing it down. His pants weren't hanging over his ass. He was lollygaging..looking around and in no big hurry to get back to his Dad's apartment to do nothing. More than likely..Tray was enjoying his walk in the soft rain. I enjoy the same thing.

Remember..Trayvon wasn't a permanent or regular member of the community. He had no idea that a neighborhood watch was employed for the area. He sensed trouble from the start as evidenced by his cell phone conversation with his girlfriend. He was the prey on high alert and Zimmerman was the predator in pursuit. Next thing he knows is he's got this guy up all in his face. Instinct takes over...Fight or Flight..he tried to choose Flight because he ran from him initially but Zimmerman continued to pursue. Only thing left was to Fight...which ended his life.

What the damn hoodie had to do with it all was that Zimmerman profiled him as a no good trouble maker...just as you've done, WE has done, Phoebe, etc. You stereotype and label based on outward appearance.

I wear a HOODED SWEATSHIRT, Champion brand, black, and I wear the hood up at night when running and it's cold outside. So does another black guy in my neighborhood. No one bothers us. Hoodies sounds like something an infant wears.

Just don't be carryin' no Skittles hear? And if some guy cruises you and then gets out of his car and follows you on foot, be sure to say, "Good evenin' suh, could I shine your shoes?"

Otherwise you be up to no good.
