Zimmer Buyout

Absolutely no way the company lets one rep force them to make a carve out. I don't believe it for one minute. I'm on a 15m team and we were given no option to negotiate.

I'd say any contract terms would be considered personal and nobody's business other than those who signed the agreement. Look out for your own interests...no one else will.

Im glad for whoever negotiates a better deal than the crap they are saying is totally non negotiable and firm. I just am wondering how people are pulling it off. Threaten, kick and scream? I'll do whatever because the mess they are peddling in KC is complete garbage!

Nothing is non negotiable. If you have a good reason and it makes good sense then pitch it. The team in Wichita simply refused to work for the new guy from Biomet in KC. Done deal.

Stay strong in KC and we can cause change. The company has to hear to the sound of not one contract being signed! The managers aren't even signing their non competes...total BS!

The best rep wins ... and the best rep with the best products and the best comp plan always wins. If you are the best rep in your territory with the Zimmer Biomet products and the proposed direct GM territory commission rates, you should be able to print money.

Haha what a joke! You must be a GM or AVP. The GM commission plan is awful and is a disgrace. We have multiple overlaps with senior 20 plus year reps. Solid teams and one won't be around because the AVP decides which one will stay and prosper under the new company. Great reps will be forced out because they all can't stay and call on the same customers.

What about:

increased commissions on growth?
expense reimbursements? car, cell phone, surgeon meeting expense

Sign me up if there are 5% extra commissions on growth and expense reimbursements with 8.5% commissions, 401K, and health benefits - I'm in.

This buyout is going awful. Very few people are even signing agreements. J&J and Synthes, Zimmer and Biomet were losers! Why do companies spend billions to lose hundreds of million dollars? Just seems like a bad idea.

I'm a former 1099 rep in sports medicine in a major metro area with 4 years experience. I was replaced without explanation. Got a new position in spine with Nuvasive. My income should double and this line is a lot more interesting. Stop worrying about these changes. You have the power to grow and move to a better place.
