OP here, I ALREADY ANSWERED THIS QUESTION.

Okay, I'm done wasting my time here:

1.) You can't provide any reasoning behind your whining and complaining considering that I have pointed out time after time that EVERY JOB comes with the "issues" you guys have listed but have no where near the pay scale.

2.) You ask the same damn questions over and over, that are posted RIGHT ABOVE YOU in the same damn thread.

3.) You make inconsistent arguments where on one hand you make 6 figures with full benefits, work part-time, and only give samples.....but then on the other hand you really hate the freaking job because a Manager yells at you or Staff members walk around like Queens. That argument is freaking stupid.

4.) You don't answer DIRECT questions.

5.) Every response is an emotional "rant" without again, answering DIRECT questions.

6.) You guys are spoiled, entitled, naive TROLLS who hide behind Anonymous screen names to bash an industry that you are just so "hand-cuffed" to stay in even though you HATE IT so much (supposedly), which again, makes NO DAMN sense.

I was hoping to get some reasonable, rational and logical answers out of you guys. Something along the lines of:

- You get sexually harassed behind the scenes
- Your Manager does more than just yell, but he calls your wife and encourages her to divorce you
- Your Staff members do more than just walk around like Queens, but they file stupid reports against you all the time to get you canned

You know SOMETHING that would warrant all of the whining and complaining on here. I have yet to see anything that was posted that isn't apart of every damn JOB in America.

I hope the Moderators keep this post up, so everytime someone visits CafePharma and do a search, this thread will come up that will show just how stupid and irrational you guys are.

I'm willing to bet half of you aren't even in the industry or ever were in the industry, you can't even formulate a concrete freaking argument, answer direct questions, or anything of the sort. You sound like a bunch of damn idiots. And I don't have to remain Anonymous, anybody you wants to speak about this over the telephone, in person, whatever, I'm all for it.

Pharma: This is High School drama played out by adults on the stage of life. Everyone in the industry knows this job is BS and everyone keeps up the charade. The management can harass with impunity.

And all the way, nearly everyone in the industry is a narcissist. They are entitled. They don't have thick skins. They are the types that take selfies. They are the guys with big watches and the broads with bad high heels and expensive bras.

This industry values beauty, submission and youth. And so do the employees.

And they provide little value.

Imagine a job where you are forced to act on a stage every day. Most jobs are not like this.

That was a remarkable post -- and spot on. Been around for over 20 years and THAT is exactly what has happened over time to our "profession".

It's not that deep.

Dude, you are getting this upset about an online gossip webboard...I mean seriously?

The arguments people make here are not stupid. You choose not to comprehend them.

I'd suggest for your health you don't come back here. You are getting upset about a frivolous website about a frivolous industry.

Invest that energy into self improvement, your family, your own career, whatever. Just stay away from here. It clearly isn't for you.

I get both sides. I'm in advertising sales and IT SUCKS!!! I have to sell and leave with an order. No one wants to talk to advertising reps as companies see more ad reps than customers. It is very hard to sell and no one "needs" it. We are micromanaged as well but I have to "sell" something as leave with a PO so I really don't get what is so bad about pharma. I do think the job has become a joke as I see pharma reps all the time in my territory they used to look very professional now both males and females look like complete bimbos. I cant imagine any doctor taking them seriously. But really you people make a lot of money to do nothing or you make it out like you do nothing. I would start a business on the side if I was in pharma. I would love to get into pharma....and you seriously you people work out of your house and don't even have to go into a dreadful office everyday which freaking SUCKS!!! Im convinced if you can sell advertising you can sell anything....yes lots of complaining but it could be worse

That says a lot about you to take the micromanagement, combined with low pay in advertising sales.

I mean, look for another job if it sucks that bad!

I am ex-pharma as well.

Don't miss it AT ALL. Left at the BEST time. HONESTLY, make about the same $$$. Absolutely LOVE what I do. I could NEVER say that in pharma.

Totally worth it. Think out of the box. Life is too short not to.
 












As long as pharma can get away with charging stupid Americans 3-5 times more for their prescription drugs than all the other 1st world industrialized nations pay for the very same US made drugs - the US pharmaceutical industry will do just fine and your jobs will be secured. But they're going to have to continue laying all those big pharma bucks into the campaign coffers of the ones who rig the game in Congress. Campaign money is the lubricant that greases the big pharma machine. And that's the reason pharma continues to survive even with a failed business model that should have destroyed the industry 25 years ago.

100% spot on…have been saying this for years…crazy high margins (that fleece the public and payers) have been propping up the pharma industry for years now…No other industry would survive such an outdated, obsolete business plan, and keeping tens of thousands of un-needed (and essentially part-time 6 figure) employees for no reason.
 








I have said this before on here. Agree with the OP. Free car, 6 figure salary, brainless job, have meetings at hotels which from my experience is actually a fun time, great benefits. I am thinking it is like glassdoor. No one will go out of their way to say how much they love a job. They just use this anonymous medium to vent about how much bs it is. I have worked at a shit company and made 31K a year and had 4 meetings a week and had to be in the office every day at 8 yet it was supposed to be an outside sales job. I didn't even think to ask if I have to come into office as in other sales positions, it was assumed you don't.

I often wondered why pharma pays reps sop much. So many would take that job for half the pay. Daily lunches, samples, sign here. Even you guys say it is easy.
 




It looks easy....but it is not.

There is always a pit bull in the pod that runs the game and sells their heart out and works hard...and the others just ride their coat tail and get signatures.

Eventually, the good rep leaves to go solo and the territory suffers again....until another star is hired...

Repeat and rinse....happens a lot.


Easy? No way. Doctors are ego maniacs and the office cows hate us. Never easy, my friend.
