Who is that freak lady doctor on the Restasis commercial?

I'm not going to waste much of my time telling you guys that your comments are some of the most deplorable, asinine things I've ever had the displeasure of coming across. What I would like to inform you of is much more important to me. Some of you may think that having dry eyes isn't a legitimate medical concern or quality of life issue. I understand why-if really doesn't sound like a big deal. Dry eye can be caused by many things-LASIK, age, drugs and certain medical conditions. The best known medical condition that causes dry eyes is Sjögren's Syndrome. In this disease the immune system attacks and, often destroys, the exocrine glands, including the lacrimal gland of the eye. Restasis is the only topical treatment available that may help to preserve the function of the lacrimal gland. Dry eye, no matter the cause, is nothing to joke about. It has a tremendous impact on my life. When I wake in the morning my eyelids are stuck to my eye, so I must immediately instill drops in order to open my eyes and be able to see properly. Then I must use a special eyelid wash to treat the blepharitis caused by dry eye, which is essentially a crust that forms on the eyelashes while I sleep. Soon I will use Restasis, which burns and makes my eyes red, but my doctors insist that I use it. As I go on with my day, I am frequently using eyedrops because the relief they bring lasts as little as ten minutes. I must use wraparound sunglasses whenever I go outside because the sun makes my eyes hurt terribly. On bad days, the light inside my home hurts me and I have spent many days and nights wearing sunglasses while watching TV. Fans, air conditioning and heating, smoke, industrial waste and even the weather can serve as further irritants. My corneas are at-risk of being damaged which could result in permanent damage to my vision. I also want to tell you that Sjögren's Syndrome is a systemic disease. It can affect many other areas of the body such as the nervous system, blood vessels, kidneys, lungs, muscles, joints, skin, digestive system and liver. There is a much higher incidence of lymphoma in Sjögren's patients as well. I didn't post this for sympathy. I just wanted to offer this information to anyone that may be open to receiving it. Sjögren's is in great need of public awareness, as most people have never heard of it. Restasis may not be perfect, but I'm very thankful that it is available.

Bottom line, she's a real deal doctor AND an aspiring actress. Here's the COMPLETE explanation and back story, not made up CRAP by half the brain dead posters here:

http://www.vancethompsonvision.com/sioux-falls/news-room/national-exposure-for-dr-alison-tendler.htm

Some moron implied that since she has a page on Charis Talent, she's a fake doctor. Uh, did you ever hear of Dr. Richard Besser, the nationally know doctor on ABC News? News Flash - doctors can also be actors, race car drivers, musicians, mountain climbers, whatever they want, you moron.

You don't have to like her or the commercial, but you can't deny the FACTS.

She may be nice, and an excellent doctor, but I have very little respect for someone who sells out so much to a pharmaceutical company. Also, she IS weird, I've never cared for her soothing voice and droning about eye disease. Let YOUR own opthamologist take care of your problems, and don't help to pad big pharmacies pockets by swallowing their Kool-Aid with every commercial they put out.

This commercial is over-produced. Interactions like this don't happen in a normal health setting. Her voice seems to be extremely turned up and it is not synced to her mouth. I don't really want to rip on her but the whole commercial seems so fake. Her voice freaks me out more than her decripid cryptkeeper face.

Re: Rude comments

Seriously! Who raised you rude lot of inconsiderate jerks?!
To attack somebody you don't even know!
I know Dr. Tendler personally and she is a real MD, I beautiful person, inside and out, going on mission trips and thinking of others.
Perhaps you haters should try some kindness toward your fellow human beings and maybe your lives wouldn't be so miserable to have nothing better to do that be hateful and post rude comments on-line.
Get a life!

I would fuck her day and night and have her work on my eyes anytime! She is so hot I had multiple orgasms from her! Pretty girl, beautiful eyes and delicious! I want her so bad!

The bashers and negative idiots posting comments here are probably so freaking ugly and jealous that nobody would ever want them! Loser American white women ugly fat birches!

First...That doctor in the Restasis commercials is a real Ophthalmologist in Sioux Falls, SD. Secondly, she is an intelligent and very passionate doctor. How do I know? Because I have the pleasure of working for her! She has the ability to see the "beauty" in everything. She isn't some paid actress. She is an advocate for a medication she also happens to use and does a lot of education on it. Any of you would be lucky to have an ophthalmologist as intelligent as her. She challenges her employees and helps us all to become experts of the eyes. People travel from all over the United States to have her and our other doctors treat their most precious sense (vision)! Do your research before making idiotic statements!

i appreciate that you found some truth in what i wrote, that is pretty impressive coming from a liberal pharmaceutical rep, which i didn't realize existed. and no restasis is not $500 dollars that my already too high taxes are helping pay for but lets look at business 101 for a second: pfizer has a multi billion (that is with a b) dollar product in viagra and trust me there are not that many broke dicks out there, but they were able to take an antidepressent side effect and parlay it into billions, ahhhh capitalism need more evidence?.........

Whew.....thank you for letting me take a breath!

I don't even work for your company, but that lady gives me the fucking creeps! Never before have I seen a more bullshit phony baloney fucked up commercial as that one.

I thought my company sucked, Allergan must be as phoney and fucked up as any pharmaceutical company, and that's really fucked up.

Sorry guys! Hang in there, remember -- it's all about your immediate supervisor.

You are right! These days it IS about our immediate supervisors. They don't really have a "job" to do any more other than ride in the car behind us, stand next to us while we read the sales aid to the receptionist, tech, triage nurse, then the doctor. He does not have anything to say or add to the conversation, he's just standing there making mental notes-so that when I finish the sales call he can retrospectively tell me that I "could have said xyz instead of abc". Of course the nitwit could have opened his retarded mouth and said it too, but he is so busy trying to FIND SOMETHING-ANYTHING wrong with what I say that he ca't do anything else.
Then, when we finish the day he will write my ride sling notes and call them "coaching notes", even though nothing about the day (or any other) is about "coaching". In these notes he will not remark on what a great sales call I had with 8 of my doctors, or that two others agreed that after 10 years of not writing the product, maybe they would do it...nope, he wrote about the one guy who had twelve patients waiting with two techs out-the one who really didn't have time to see me read a sales aid for my manager's benefit (the doc who is a high prescriber and sees me EVERY TIME). He commented on how I should have detailed the doc and his tech, did not get a close for business, and never really opened the call! That's the norm for my manager. It's all about finding something wrong or something I could have done-even though the idiot has never made a presentation himself. I'd love to play that game with him-oh, you could have said....

It is all about the district managers-the ones on a power play.
