And who do you think makes the decisions on cuts, who gets cut...managers...keep dreaming

They are part of the process, absolutely. And if you think they’re not, you are crazy. In fact, if you have been around long enough, you should have noticed how the managers will try to drive people out when lay-offs are going to happen. They will do that to show they can make the “tough” decisions. Then they might even volunteer to start calling on “key” accounts while still managing their teams. Sound familiar? Look familiar? They will do anything to save their butt. Don’t be fooled.
 




This makes sense and is probably why we are on a hiring freeze. I was thinking August too but these usually happen later in the year.

Hopefully it is announced in August and not in November as usual. If you are listening mother Merck, please offer hand raising this time. I made a serious mistake not taking you up on the offer last time, and I know many people that feel the same. Im ready to cash out and move on.

Look, ur manager is as clueless as u are I assure u.
I can only offer an educated guess.

Marketing and sales management need reps to stay employed, so they don’t really want to eliminate their own jobs by mass layoffs but the rung above wants cuts to raise stock price to increase their comp.
Performance really kind of sucks so they are really left with no choice and CC is not the place to be because it’s not the future of Merck.
I would guess this fall we will re structure again. Hey Frazier said years ago that it’s the new normal for pharmaceutical industry.
I don’t care, I’ll retire but u under 55 need to be smart.

Steglatro was featured on the earnings call! It is blowing the competition away. It will save CC sales. Look at the numbers. Unbelievable.

With the Warn Act, the announcements may be made in September fo an effective date of January 1st or 31st. Any word on hand raising this time? I know that they are going to say that they gave us what we asked for. If no, we asked for it. If yes, we asked for. We know the game by now.

My district has gotten extremely quiet except for those people who are always trying to justify their jobs. Its time for change. We still have too many reps. Give us an opportunity to raise our hands.
 












Don't you have to wait until 55 to take the lump? And even then it is significantly less than if you take it at 65.

CC has only been in place for a little over a year. Management said 3-5 year plan after last layoff. What information do you have that October it is over? Who is going to promote then - contract?
Company to be split like abbot/ abbvie. Innovative products stay as MRK old CC brands and DB/Biosim spin off to separate company. And who knows maybe that’s even called SGP!
