WHEN ARE WE GETTING LAWSUIT CHECKS IN THE MAIL?

Actually, you have to call the trust company to get latest info. I did and they gave me the amount I will get in may. Justice served! Although, boys club still prevails!

I called and they said they didn't have the individual monetary amount available. How did you get that information? The only info they could give me was about the checks going out in May

When I called the lawyers, they said that it was still in the works, but it would be approx $200 for every month worked (backpay portion) and possibly another $150 per month worked if the claim was filed and approved....so if one was there the entire time and did put in a claim, I'm thinking it will be about $35,000 give or take.

I was told that only the back pay was based on your length of employment. The compensatory and rider (if filed) have nothing to do with how long you were there. It will be based soley on how bad they feel the situation was and that comes from what you wrote in your forms....also if you have a physician who treated you for anxiety, it sounds like you will be awarded quite a bit. The cut-off is $300,000 and has nothing to do with how long you were there. They have to divide up all the claims received and riders and decide how much is there to be divided up among everyone. Its a separate amount of $40,000,000. (does anyone have any idea how many women filed riders??? ) that way, we could sort of gauge it but I think it will be a wait and see. the other $60,000,000 is for back pay and is based on your tenure.....

Obviously nobody knows exactly how things will work out, however, lets try to see the picture here, not just the money, but the learning and growth that Novartis will go thru to become a better company for women to work at.

Let's see...so far I detect no learning or growth from Novartis in its attitude towards women.
The same old good 'ol boys club. It will never change.

Agreed! I'm not seeing any change in attitude towards women at all. In fact, I feel like it's even getting worse than it was. Take a look around..there are very few women in any type of management roles...Still more white men, hiring more white men for management. And yes, as women we get the benefit of having to work harder and do more every day just to be be stepped over by men...

They just put a token women MD in East Coast. It was so glaring in Vegas when they called all the MD's up to the stage and they were all men.
I hope Nicole can take on all these guys

Not saying that I dis-agree... just curious to know who people feel are women who's sustained performance and behaviors would indicate should be in management? In my opinion EH is pretty diverse and certainly Basel is quite diverse...

I am one of the original plaintiffs...we got a letter stating that as of last count, only 6 women had opted out of the suit...out of approximately 6,200 women in the class....what does that tell you Novartis???

Good luck to all..

"Thank you" isnt enough. I had such horrible treatment during my return from pregnancy. I was too scared to do anything-I was a new mom needing a job. Now I am laid off and am so grateful that you had the courage and bravery to stand up for all of us! Thank you and God bless all of you that stood up for all of us.

I as well was treated horribly when returning from my leave, although not a pregnancy leave, but a medical leave. I just couldn't believe that anyone would treat me the way that I was treated...One can only imagine how bad it can be until it happens to you.
