What's your favorite blunder at Novartis in the last 10 years?

SELL ZELLNORM FOR the "A, B, C's of Constipation". PCP/IM "Dr., Do your patients at times suffer from Abdominal Pain, Bloating or Constipation?" Use Zenorm. Zelnorm was only indicated for females 18 and over for Irritable Bowel Syndrome! Can you say "OFF LABEL?

January 1 2005 I think, ASP replaces AWP. Customers lose money every time they use a Novartis injectable due to a "well timed" price increase in late December.

End of January- New VP SE trumpets a new era of openness and an end of intimidation induced silence at meeting opening.

During meeting- Hours spent training us on how to tell Drs. how they really weren't losing money and if they didn't believe us then we should then explain that they could make up the losses on commercial plans.

When we expressed to the Payor Manager that 1. our customers weren't buying it 2. they were banning Novartis from their offices 3. every other company had made price or rebate adjustments, the fucking crybaby whined to RD BS that he was mistreated.

At General Session an hour later, RD BS basically told the room that despite the "new era of openness" the honest debate we had during our breakout was unacceptable.

A month or more later and well after every company had already done so, Novartis made the concessions that we were berated for proposing at the meeting.

Next January, the stupid fuck PP was recognized at National Meeting for his quick and decisive action in response to the Medi-Care changes.

NCN. I tried to get doctors to enroll in this program and many of them laughed in my face. They said why should they waste their time on yet another program that Novartis would stop supporting in six months. Guess what, they were right////

on that note, how about NPPN. That dog of a program lasted about 4 months. I remember bringing the reports to the doctors and they looked at me like I was crazy. What a waste of time and no value to our customers......
