What's going on @ Otto Bock?

Wow. I remember when they used to have 20+ employees. If he was so terrible and he's the reason things are so bad, why would they wait so long to let him go? That doesn't make sense and really wasn't fair to the other employees who lost their jobs.
 




What do you mean?...That makes perfect sense...replace a manager who didn't care with one who doesn't know... yeah, that will keep them in business.

putting someone in charge of fabrication who has no fabrication experience sounds like a great idea-you know because they cost less to keep employed. the decrease in expenses will totally make up for the sales they are going to loss when she screws things up.....LMAO
 




To the people that are left, it would be wise to start looking while you have a job because prospective employers would rather hire people who are working rather than unemployed. Plus you have some negotiatiating power when it comes to salary.
But then most of the smart people knew and have already jumped from the sinking ship, most of the ones left are the slacker losers!

pay attention - putting a nonexperienced admin person over fabrication and waiting until the plant manager has already ran the company into the ground before letting him go is just plan good business....um, yeah....still LMAO
 




All of the crying going on is clearly 90% sales reps who were used to an insane ICP. No cash came in the door for 5 years and the sales reps were happy. New managment blew up the false revenue bubble which will hit a sales reps usual commission. Come back to reality folks. Learn about more things than the top line.
 




I dont know that I like Ben David but I can honestly say I am glad he is here. I have been a PSR for ten years with this company and have done all the work while the sales rep in our area got paid a ton of money for doing nothing. As soon as Ben David came in and started making changes this guy was like fuck him I'll do what I want. I knew this would happenm because the rep was billing things that would never get paid! All he cared about was his own money and never gave a damn about us and we were doing all the work!

The new system, while a complete mess at the begining, is really working great now. We dont have all of the paperwork, we dont have to guess about copays/insurance or whether somethings going to be paid, it all is really very smooth. The sales rep tried to steal the business and heard Ben kicked his butt in court. Heard the guy had to pay out over $300,000 for business he tried to steal. Ben David may be a hard ass but he saved our jobs and my ass, so Im glad he's here
 




You might be glad BD is there but you wont be in a few months when you are out of a job...........................if you are as smart as you claim then ask some questions about how OB is doing financially, now as well as before BD came then make your decision. YOU might be surprised that all the BS he is feeding you is just that BS. nuf said!
 




I feel bad for this psr who is drinking BD's Kool-Aid. If I can give any advise to you, please be looking for a new job. Yours wont last. I suspect your from southwest MI and your time is coming to an end. Even if the rep was beaten in court as you suggest, is BD going to wave his magic wand and the business will just reappear? Use your head. That business is long gone. Not because a rep stole it, its because of the process that drove the rep and business away. There once was a guy back in the 1940's that went around brain washing people into thinking a group of people were to blame for the woes of a nation and look how that turned out for him.... Figure it out before its to late!!!!
 








10 year PSR, right, you have got to be kidding, Reps making tons of money, another joke, wait - you have a black box in your van, tracked daily, emailed when your over the speed limit, no raise for the last 2 years and you love BD! thats why there is over 100K in adjustments this month already because the numbers were fudged last month to make it look like we were close to the corp number, BD covering his ass again. we borrow money from Minn each month to make payroll. adjusted the commission plan for the reps where they will make 30-40 % less, and were making tons of money, we still cant get things billed and now you get a million dollar scanner and printer to make it easier for you, wake up your out of your league moron

what a wreck bd has made, oh and whoever was talking about a 10 millon dollar deal, I doubt if that was for the company it was probably for the dust bd has left behind...............oh yeah he is NOT gone YET, there must still be pennies left.

Oh Benny. Now you are making me blush. ICP=Incentive Compensation Plan. Where is the incentive in that plan? We knew what our Depot's were doing volume-wise by tracking number of set-ups and length of therapy. Somehow, those never matched what you had. Probably because nobody knew where the same fax (faxed >5 times) was located. The book cooking came from lazy billers who would bill for $0.01 to get the order off their desk. How many times did we find those "errors"? All the time!

Benny, you have saved the day. You HAVE saved the day! I can't wait until this day is over.....
 




To the loser sales rep who is showing how stupid he/she is with all of their posts, I am not Ben David, but I am one of the new people he brought in to fix the mess you created by lining your pockets and driving this company down. It is clear by your posts that you have no idea what you are talking about.

1. We do have a new deal with Apria and one with Kaiser Perm, both will bring in over $15mm in annual revenue and he will annouce them this week at our quarterly meeting. Once the new revenue comes in, OS will be making money for the FIRST time in six years. $16mm in losses to making money in less then 1.5 years. Go ahead loser try and argue that. I wonder what Ben David will do to you Mr. Know it all Sales Rep who sells noting but excuses once this company is making money.

2. Last time I checked we were still in Cleveland Clinic. He told them to raise our rates or we would walk and they did. Look in BT, although I doubt you know how to use a computer for anything other then posting on this site and looking at porn.

3. I never knew BD before he hired me or anyone else from Apria because BD never worked for Apria you idiot! Apria did try to recruit him but he turned them down.

4. BD is the best executive I have ever worked with. In one year he has turned this joke of a company that was losing money into one that is making money, that is a fact. Although Im sure you'd much rather stick to your lies.

5. Youre just angry because he wants you to work. The truth is you dont know the first thing about selling, you'd rather do crap like stock and bill and play all the bs revenue games you were doing before BD came in and said enough. Im sure you'll find a job at some mom and pop, saw it all the time at Apria when we bought someone. Losers get kicked out, professionals come in, See ya.


You should probably use your time looking for a new job or researching unemployment benefits because you clearly have no idea how top be a sales person you know how to be a parasite who feeds off of others hard work.

I don't know anything about shorts and flip-flops on a Friday but the man I met each year at the NSM's was the most helpful and down to earth sales rep in the organization - bar none. Where were you 20 years ago when he single-handedly built that territory from zero to over 2 million in annual sales? Since you worked "for" him (yes, I said FOR him - who do you think paid your salary?) then you know the accounts - drive around and talk to them and ask their opinion on Otto Bock. Then ask them about PP - the individual. See which gets you the more favorable response. I've never been to Michigan but I'm sure you'll hear the same thing I hear in my state; "We LOVE ___any rep name___, but HATE Otto Bock." Whatever we're doing to PP as a company I'm certain it's because we are scared to death of trying to make a go of it in Michigan without him. Let it be known; we have NOTHING to offer so we must play dirty, involve lawyers and waste everyone's $$ (FYI: that's where our raises went to this year folks). Newsflash: no one wins and all the patients lose along with us. Why don't we put the patients first and let the best company win. Compete with good service, great products, and competent billing at fair prices. Oh, that would be too "American" of us all. But then again, maybe BD gets a "peer" discount since he's an bona fide lawyer himself. What is it again that you call 1000 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean?

Better yet - take some initiative and do a better job than he did. Build it back up to it's former glory. With all of our BD imposed policies it should fall right back into place correct? From the way these lemmings talk on here it must be. Even we on the other coast know that the MI replacement rep already got s-canned and his territory absorbed by another rep. But you can save it with your Dockers and Florsheims on Fridays.

I get tired of these unthankful PSR's, DM's and even top-level mgrs. who's salaries are paid out of OUR relationships - our hard work of putting out the fires that OB lights day-in and day-out. We are the face of OB, Orthopedic Sales. BD will never know how many a** kickings we saved him from by NOT letting him come out in the field and personally apologize for F'n up the business. Yes, he actually wanted us to parade him in front of our customers - how many Nordstrom slacks would have their knees worn out on that tour? Don't worry, I hear that Nordstroms started a 90-day same as cash offer after seeing how the $$ up-front thing worked out for OB. If OrthoRehab never made any money then why would OB have paid 40 million for it? Do some fact checking instead of just taking it up the a** from BD and you will see that OB took the eye off the ball (Tempe billing) and lost it's Bert Bucks embroidered shirt. We sent in good, clean billings and posted the numbers while Tempe billed patients out at $1 to get them off their desk. Please check the dumpster out back before asking me to re-fax the last 100 patient agreements. Oh, and please check the mexican temp's lowrider for all the prescriptions riding shotgun under the cheeseburger wrapper BEFORE calling my Doctors for the 4th time in 2 days. OB lost millions in Medicare for missing timely filing deadlines. Patients of mine are STILL getting bills from OB for 2007 - that, for you faux-Mensa members is 3 years old! Can I forward these calls to you Mr. PSR? Instead of fixing the obvious problem BD threw the baby out with the bath water. Shore up the foundation before working on the roof genius! But hey, maybe his landscaper is done painting and is now on the roof.

And you say we're angry because we are "now managed"? We were always managed, but George Washington and Ben Franklin are far better managers than any RSM, new OR demoted for underperformance (you know who you are). Goldmine is a joke. A non-productive tool that takes sales reps out of the field and puts them at a keyboard. GM is nothing more than a mind-dump meant to gather inside information on relationships so the sales rep becomes unnecessary (or so C thought - where are you now C? - how's the job search going?) So OB, you have won in many regions. I guess time will tell if a netbook can run a territory better than a seasoned rep (at least you could get more than 45 minutes use out of a rep). I'm not that "loser sales rep" you refer to, but really not that many reps were making money hand over fist, there were a select few, probably the same ones that do not have to sign their non compete till the end of the year, favortism as always, because the company can't afford to lose their revenue, they will already be losing revenue from the East with 4 reps gone.
If you do work for BD, I also feel sorry for you, the revenue they lie about to Germany will come out soon, they can't afford to "phantom bill" patients or products we never had, that's why we were 100K in adjustments this month, the same story of "oh that's past billing we couldn't bill" is old news
I will be surprised if were sold or partnered up with Apria, your not as close to knowing as you think, it's a smoke screen to keep people like you on board, plus Kaiser is with Lantz Medical, we weren't a joke of a company till BD came aboard, people with million dollar litelift controller ideas did us in, as well as living high on the hog with thousand dollar dinners and wine for everyone, thinking we were the Technical Ortho side
work, thats all the good reps did, anything to get the job done,and satisfy the customer.

Wow! I almost feel sorry for the 10 year PSR. The sales team is/was not the reason that Otto Bock is in such piss poor shape right now everyone. Yes, Otto Bock had some billing issues that still need to be resolved but not at the sacrifice of revenue and customers. At the end of the day Sales reps still provide a service that became increasingly difficult to give our accounts. Yes, I am one of those former sales reps who didn't sign that "New" non-compete (do the math). Its not my fault that Otto Bock Orthopedic Services is burning out of control.....its Ben David's megamanical - selfabsorbed - spoiled little boy management style that tanked this company. Enough said..... oh yeah TA can kiss my hairy a$$ too!
 




Well, another one jumps off the sinking ship, GO in Oklahoma has left,taking with him a 1.7 million dollar territory, I'm sure the new hire post for a sales rep there won't be told they'll have no business, state was owned by GO, there hasnt been an announcement of his departure either, sure they don't want to bring down morale anymore, and if we see this,how many more will jump now
1.7 there, another 800K in NY, probally 1.2 more in the east with lost reps for their year, and were at 1.3 for the month on a projection of 3 million for august
how much BS will they tell us now, we only have about 30 reps now, time to up the sale calls to 15
