What will you miss?

Speaking of helping others be more effective.....As a FLM, I will miss the valuable coaching that I provide to representatives who:
1) Can't sell for shit
2) Can't think on their own
3) Have no accountability for their results
4) Screw up their expense reports and have to resubmit over and over again
5) Don't work hard
6) Act poorly to their teammates
7) Are unprofessional
8) Blame everybody else for their situation
9) Tell you they want to do well and develop, but their actions don't match their words
10) Feel they are entitled to everything without working for it.


Holy shit, THIS. 100% accurate.

We do this on purpose, so you can feel like you do something.
 






When FLM's were put into pod 24/7 the rep/manager relationship went south. When I saw my manager 4-5 per trimester it was helpful. But there was nothing for a FLM to do everyday in the territory. Let's face it, they never got close to any doc's or knew much about the products we sell.
 


















Not true my manager knows everything in the world, is the best looking, leads the best, gets the hottest chicks -even though he is married! If you don't believe me ask him, or be around him for 5 minutes he will confirm to you he really is the best!

Scouting the room the opening night of the DPM for a naughty hottie to make a move on. Usually not enough time or interaction to work the magic, but checking out the newest crop of hotties was always great fun. Man we had/have some beautiful women working as reps in this company.
 












To the FLM:

What valuable coaching did you give your reps and where did you get your coaching skills, Walmart? It is FLM's like you that are so FULL of yourself that your reps tell you what you want to hear and do otherwise because they are fed up with your self indulged back patting!

If your reps had any respect for you or your leadership, your negative comments would have never been made about those on your team that YOU hired (unless you came in to a team already hired to which you poisoned with your lame idealology and pitiful arrogance claiming you are all that.) A real "Team Leader, Manager of people" would not post such garbage as you about your team. It clearly describes you as a manager....a douchbag!

There are great FLM's, Area Sales Managers and the like at this company that do not drink the Koolaid, that have great results, have teams that respect them, post good numbers (when managed care allows), and do not/would not speak of reps as you have, and support their reps when numbers are out of their district/area control...but then again, the reps would not post comments about their manager since he/she is not a glory grubbing asshole like you! FO and get a life dillwead!


Most FLM's inherit their teams. I can't remember the last time I got to hire some talent into my district. The FLM who posted this is spot on. Seems like there are dozens of posts about how horrible their managers are, and which ones should be fired. Looks like someone can't handle the heat, and a dose of their own medicine. If you're going to dish it, take it. CP is not just for reps!
 












Now it is getting good. The FLM's are feeling the downsize heat and reading CP. I had 8 managers at Novartis and will tell the truth when evaluating them. 2 were great, 2 were well-meaning but inept, the other 4 were total egomaniacs who had no clue how they were perceived.

I've had 12. Three of them were outstanding. The others were just average puddle jumpers on their way up - or so they hoped. Two were pretty lame and the last one - and the worst - one I have now thinks she is more important than the people that work for her - and you damn well better be a "yes" person or you're Values and Behaviors are not going to work out. Lets everybody knows her "real" car is a Mercedes and carries a Louis Vuitton on calls. What a snotty ditz. Won't miss her or this job.
 






Transparency or the claim of it. Nothing is clear at this company. Also roommates at meetings. If it was someone I know, no big deal, but going to bed knowing a person you don't know was coming in never was good.
